I thought it was a good idea of yours to add that to this thread, I won't partake as I know nothing about it, although if you've got recommendations of books to read I'm very open to that, it's a genre that I think I might like if given a shot in the right direction.

Two of the mods on here are into sci-fi - Darth RoversWall and Mild Rover, and sometime have pictures of obscure creatures as their avatars to prove it. I do like sci-fi but prefer books. Read a wonderful short story recently called The Tunnel Under The World, on which =#000040Groundhog Day-crossed-with-=#000040The Truman Show could've been based.

I recently read The Room, fascinating really how imprisonment affected a child.
Also read the latest Myra Hindley book, passed it about to friends and we are going to have a get together to decide if she was guilty of her actions or influenced by Brady.
Personally I believe she was manipulative and just as bad as Brady.

Interesting, isn't it, that until then nobody believed a woman could be so evil to children. She was the first to open people's eyes, I think?

Probably the first caught in this country...The book is the closest to a biography, well written tbh.
She was not present at the first few murders but was aware of what was happening, she helped pick up the victim and stood guard whilst he raped and murdered. She was present at the young child Lesley's murder and is on tape telling her to shut up...I will admit I wept when I read the recording it was difficult reading.
I think the way she went on to manipulate in the prison network actually portrays the person she was, and indeed she was what we would deem as evil although I do not believe she was mentally ill, however Brady is imo.

b) If, after five hours of full-on speed-walking around every floor in every shop and intimate examination of every changing room in Meadowhall, she can return to the first shop to buy the first thing she tried on?

She is a skinny size 8 so a, is not applicable and b, is inevitable but I'm used to it after 21 years together

Well, I've had a tour around the Church and it's caverns and your out of luck, there is no [ilast supper [/ipicture/carving/glass/sculpture. The Church in Hedon, I'm assured, does have one, although it's an embroidered cloth and is less than 20 years old.

This is due to the Church not being a part of the High order and is within only a small parish, plus the Church has suffered from looting in the past and anything of any removable value has been retained.
