Male red kangaroos are about 7 feet tall when standing on their hind legs and they will literally rip you open if you were silly enough to stand in front of one.
Males can be a bit aggressive - females generally aren't.
I don't know how many kinds there are - we have one breed of roo and 4 or 5 types of Wallabies around here (Swamp, Whip-tail, pretty face, and paddy melon)

I'm amazed. I thought herbivores were generally placid creatures towards humans. This is presumably why they have the boxing reputation, or would they use their back legs like a cat does? Ouch.

Koalas all have different personalities.
Most are placid, but if you get a stroppy one, they have strong, sharp claws for tree climbing and can do a lot of damage.
If they don't like being handled, it would be a good idea to leave them alone.
In the bush at night they sound like crying babies, but it's a mateing call.

Another fun fact about Koalas - they break down their food with bacteria in their gut and the mothers feed their babies some of their poo as their first solid meal to get the bacteria into their system.

Hate to mention this, but I think the fact that Brisbane beat Newcastle is bad news for us Hullians.

I reckon I've placed about 30 bets in my life. Used to do the Grand National every year (won 3 years in a row as a kid - Little Polveir, Party Politics and Seagram in the early 90s, nada since). Placed 6 in one day when we went to the races earlier this year. Always wanted to go to the dogs, but have never got round to it.

Here is how odds work. two numbers - the first is what you win, the second is for what stake. 3-1 means you win £3 for each £1 you stake. 7-2 is £3.50 for £1. The less likely the result, the bigger the ratio between the first and second number. Stuff that is more likely to happen than not, you get odds like 4/9.
