Alex Hurst, London winger, formerly with Swinton, Scottish international, ooc. I know we didn't have our best team out on Sunday, but he made some very strong runs through the middle of our defence (I thought he was their LF tbh, he did it so often). The centre Caton-Brown looks to have bags of potential as well and took his tries well.

Just a word of warning, Omari Caro had potential too....

Every player has potential upto a certain point, just not sure who spotted much in Caro apart from his pace, even now that looks like it has gone!

To be fair Caro looked pretty good in our first few games, scored some decent tries and had pace that we really needed. He seemed to collapse after the Salford debacle and has never got it back.

When it was been bandied about a lot in pre-season, I did wonder if 'potential' would end up being a dirty word when people realised it is a way of making jam tomorrow (maybe) and inexperience and inconsistency today sound fun and exciting.
With nearly 500 NRL games between them, the arrivals of Weyman, Costigan and New Ginger Kris (NGK) mean I'll be buying shares in 'proven' this autumn.

The way he bottled that try sticks in my head. Its like hes played every full match since then with that level of confidence. How will he get it back is what I wonder.. he was dropped and sent to Gateshead, since hes come back nothings changed

Rumours in St Helens that Saints have already sounded out Jordan Cox for a move in 2015 and already spoke to his agent confirming our interest. Apparantly we did the same with Amor but had to move now instead cus Wakefield where selling to Widnes.

Oooo,good rumour. However (bless him) I have huge doubts that Jordan could find his 'arris with both hands let alone appoint himself an agent. Besides, Adge sponsors him so he's rolling in clover already over in East Hull.

I think there'll be a number of clubs who are keeping an eye on him but I expect him to sign an extension next year going by what I've heard.

I don't blame Beaumont for going to you guys because at the time, our Chairman's comments left the club in a great deal of uncertainty so Beaumont did what's best for him. I don't think he's a big loss in particular though he could have helped with our strength in depth I suppose.

I was also told the second row is a player who became available at short notice , and Rovers have swooped, although i have no name im pretty certain its NOT Kirmond.

We've nipped in for J Walker after Amor chose Saints over us.

Would be surprised if Tuson signs. Walker going to our noisy neighbours. Won't be playing with his brother here next season.

I'm hearing Niklas might be offered a one year deal (irrespective of twitter-gate) so this could be right. Young Beharrell (spelling) has a year to run on his contract and I feel next year will be make-or-break for him.

Tuson turned Rovers down when he was sounded out as part of the Taylor deal. It would be a very astute signing IMO, the type of player CS likes ie trained and gained experience at one of the top-four.

Walker would prefer to team up with his bro but he has a couple of offers on the table (FC one of them). Bit of a gamble for me, I would prefer Rovers to promote Sonny E/Sully or even both to the first team squad.

With Keeting & Burns as first choices and Hall for cover, Niklas would give us extra depth in this area and also offer cover at 9 - kind of like a cheap replacement for Withers.


Hope it's true, high work rate and can deliver in high-intensity games.


Think there's a good chance we'll get him; we've got a better squad than FC have for next year but maybe the other offer is closer to home?

It wouldn't be a gamble at all because so far we've only got Weyman, Walker, ET and Green as out and out front-rowers so we need one more experienced prop and Sullivan could be still promoted as a kind of 6th choice. Esslemont is already part of the first team squad anyway isn't he?
