Didn't this strain of swine flu start in Mexico and it isn't only mexicans who have it.

Hopefully if it's true he'll only have a mild strain of it.

One where I work, one where my son goes to school plus a friend of ours. I think September will be the time to really worry when all the kids go back to school, reckon it could get quite widespread then.

That sounds about right Trace, late August, early September . We have plans in place at work to try and cope with it, IF it happens.

Swine flu is only big news again because the MP's Expenses scandle has finished. The threat , though a real one , is still the same as a few weeks ago.

a couple of kids in my daughters nursery has got it, thank god its the holidays!! we got briefed at work, that the goverment are worried if it mutates with the (normal) flu, thats when we should all start worrying, we havent got the resources now to swab all suspected cases, so the g.p's are just assuming its swine flu, which the majority probably wont have it!
But it will get worse, for sure.

Yup, the 2nd wave will be worse, especially if its over christmas and they havent got the vacines out there yet. FWIW ive been told by a chemist that over 65s are fine as swine flu is almost identicle to a flu which hit in the 60s meaning most of the over 65s have built up some immunity to it allready. They do need to get a move on with getting the rest of us the jab but i reckon most people will still just get the mild form and thats it.

I'm pig sick of all this swine flu!

A good immune system should still prevent you from getting infected, or at the very least ensure mild infection.

The problem is the modern day diet is so high in processed food with additives that people eat a very low nutrient diet. Especially fat soluble vitamins A and D (we don't eat fat these days, well apart from processed man made vegetable oils) which are vital for a strong immune system.

There are tribal peoples that simply live off natural food in the wild they live in far harsher conditions but never get sick.

If your diet isn't high in nutrients it's basically pot luck as to whether you get it, and if the virus turns deadly it's akin to playing russian roulette with your life.
