Right. When did normal common or garden (Well, common and they're in my garden) beetles start biting?

I've been bitten three times recently, twice in the garden and once last Saturday as I was doing some work on my lap top. I'd noticed this beetle on the stairs and thought "I'll wang that out of the window in a minute", forgot about it and then next thing I felt a sharp nip on my toe and the little devil had bitten me.

Don't notice insects/bugs, if we're in the garden we take the cats out with us and they eat them, same goes in the house, a fly is fun for all of 20 seconds at a push.

Why were you sat on the stairs with the laptop, sent to the naughty step? I've been in that predicament a few times, never allowed to take the laptop though, kinda cancels out the punishment.

No, the stairs go up out of the study, it's pretty open plan our house, you can go in a circle on the ground floor and basement, brilliant for chases but a nightmare when kids come as they just run round and round incessantly.
