If you listened to our Chairmans interview a couple of weeks back you will re-call that the intention next season was to start with Ben Cockayne at full back until Louis Sherrif was ready. If this lad from Sheffield is replacing Cockayne then i would assume that he will start as first choice full back. No big name full back to come.

I feel 100% that he isn't the quality of player we should be looking at he's 29 years old for a start and if he hasn't made it by the age of 29 he never will. But that's okay you keep twisting peoples posts to suit your own gain.

Misi was far and away our best player last season-though its fair to say he hasn't hit the same heights this season due to injuries and a late arrival in the country-make sure he sorts his visa out on time! Ive got no doubt his attitude will be spot on in the Super League - to get the best out of him he has to play fullback.

Totally irrelevant. The point I was making had nothing to do with income. It was purely comparing his ability to Sheffields other imports. I'm not trolling, as you can see by my praise towards Paea. Taulapapa is weak, and whatever wage he's on, it won't be worth keeping a talented youngster out of the side for.

But if you were a player in the Championship, maybe been let go by a SL academy, but you've become a regular first-team player and by your mid-20s a stand-out player in that division. You'd maybe be on £15, 20, 25k? Plus the income from your day job. Is moving to SL, to be a squad player, probably on a 1 or 2 year contract that means you'd need to take a career break and doesn't offer much more nett income going to be very attractive?

Not really, I can remember someone telling me ages ago that a lot of lads who could have signed pro deals, but at the lower end of the spectrum, preferred to stay as major players in the conference as they could work and have the chance of a BARLA tour to Australia.

I was referring to Sheffield imports on the whole. You made no mention of this seasons imports alone.

But anybody who seriously thinks they can just sign any player on what amounts to little more than an acadamy contract really are kidding themselves. If i were a gambling man i'd say he would be on at least twice that amount.

Then you will be shocked at how much Dowes, Washbrook and Whiting are all on at Hull then!!

All those players are on considerably more than £20k.

He might have meant they are on less than 40k, as you said MT would be on twice 20. Still low, but more realistic.
