Anyone see Rhod Gilbert getting his "flaming Battenburg cake on a cushion" tattoo, because "all women love cake and cushions"? Apparently, koi carp are a popular tattoo subject also. If I were to get a tramp stamp, I'm unsure what I would choose. If following the cake theme, it would have to be Victoria sponge. Perhaps something coffee-related. A jewelled calculator. James Rule. Blossom. Buzz Lightyear. All important. I think roofs would get a big lion and pmh the name of a Scandinavian crime novel writer so he could then complain about incorrect spelling in perpetuity.

Went down Prinny Ave last night and we ended up at Giant Panda as I forgot to book at Thai House!...Giant Panda has gone down the pan I think since it moved to all you can eat, the menu was very limited, the food was not too bad but not as nice as Aroma which also has more choice.

I like Thai House but the last time i was there me and the Mrs got sat next to a pished up couple having an arguement and it put me off going again.
That small place in town next to McDonalds is good for Thai.

Strange you should say that, we went with my brother and his wife about 4 years ago and this woman went mental arguing with her partner, she was very rude to the staff and stormed out when she came back the staff locked the door she was only small but she did a karate kick at the door and fell on her backside, it was hilarious veiwing the police came and arrested her and we all got 10% off our bill in case we were upset, we were not of course it was funny


Being to that one next to Maccy Ds I agree it is good.

Hey that's a coincidence BB, went in there too on Weds, except we didn't bother eating there.

Had been in Pave for 2-3 hours for a post-wedding celebration, then we tried Giant Panda cos everyone fancied the all-you-can-eat, but we turned up at 10.05pm to be told that we'd missed the all-you-can-eat by 5 minutes (even though it didn't say anywhere that they stopped doing it at 10pm?

). They said therefore that only the set dishes were available, so we left (they tried backtracking to keep us there cos there was ten of us so they were going to miss out on some decent cash at an otherwise empty time), we went to that little place opp New Clarence in town, very nice!

Did you cover many pubs / bars BB?

No not really Roofs, just went out with Hubby and we got settled on a sofa in Pave and enjoyed a drink & chat, we were going to jump a Taxi to Aroma but decided to try Giant Panda instead.

Ah right, fair dues, spot-on Pave isn't it.

Very chilled out + a nice wide variety of beers.

I like Pave I like the folk singers who go in...I like Dukes some nice spots as you say down there, they do some nice lunches as well, mind you so do Newland, I will be trying them all out again come Sept all part and parcel of it

Yeah definitely, great atmosphere down there eh, the only slight gripe is sometimes it almost gets [itoo[/i busy.
