Not fast enough for a winger, not strong enough or has enough awareness in defence for a centre (similar for wing), not enough brains for a half and not good enough at full back. I think he's good cover and will show the odd flash of brilliance but I'm just not sure where he does fit in.

He has pace and his defence isn't as bad as people make out

It is a bit of a struggle, I'd still like to see him playing in the centres. Salter is reeasonably good defending but hasn't offered a whole lot going forward. Gleeson has hardly played, Welham seems to have an injury jinx and still hasn't matured enough to understand when to go and when to stay in defence.

I'd want him to play down the same side as Burns as he's an excellent organiser as well as being strong in the tackle himself.

They have a 200K tax bill to pay soon so I could see them been tempted if the cash deal was right.

Amor would add something to most packs in the league, a quality player.

Be very happy if the 3/4 british signings come off, to compliment the 3 overseas. Would balance the squad a lot more. Expect some not currently mentioned to leave though. Wont just be the currently announced. Also James Green will be knocking for next season, likely to fill the Beaumont gap.

Who would expect to leave if this was the case. I would assume one of Brown or Eden would go if the cockayne one comes to a head. Apart from his versatility I struggle to see where we would fit cockayne into the team. He really doesn't have a specialist position.
Amor would be a great signing and a bit of a coup if we could get him, can imagine a fair few other teams interested.

Why would the club allow Eden to go?, surely the club are looking to build the club around such young and dynamic type players, not sell them on.
Plus Eden is a specialised fullback whereas Cockayne is more a utility type player who can cover 3 or four different positions when required.
I also think Brown will be given a contract, don't forget we will need a little more strength in depth next season if we are to compete on a more consistent basis.

I hope your right but I struggle to see why we would pay a fee for what will effectively be a squad player, he would bring versatility but he kind of covers the roles that Craig Hall covers. The only other option I could see for BC is hooker but I don't believe he defends well enough for that

I'm not saying I would want him to go, far from it, I'm just trying to see the sense in brining BC back..

Cockayne has become a specialist winger in the 2 years since leaving Rovers. At both Fev & Wakey, he's played nowhere else. So, I would expect that its a straight choice, sign Cockayne or re-sign Brown. I know my preference, but it appears the club are looking at the silly prospect of paying a fee for someone we sacked.
