I've already bought my pass but I do understand people who base buying a pass on the make up of the squad. If we bought a bunch of championship standard players, that would put a lot of people off buying a pass.

Not all of us follow Hull KR no matter what. Some people need to get value for money before shelling out 230 quid for a pass. It doesn't make them any less of a supporter in my eyes. As Stan has said, NH stated we wouldn't let Burns go without getting an equal or better player so I can understand peoples frustrations with the potential signings mentioned by Paut T.

I agree and therein lies the problem... If there was an equal or better replacement out there St Helens would have signed them instead of paying us a fee for Burns. I don't mind the idea of either player, but you would have to be the ultimate spin doctor to say that Holdsworth or an unknown Samoan is equal or better.

I agree about the Championship standard players. There is however a big difference between Championship standard players, competent composed Super League players and marque signings. Realistically we are in the market for the middle group of players. The last group only come onto the open market when there are issues around them. Carney to Cats is a case in point and to a lesser extent Travis to us last year. We would not have been able to sign him if it had been for his suspension.

I think the outlook on the half backs would change depending on what hooker we sign if we get Shaun lunt then a holdsworth or durea with a young half wouldn't be to bad but if we sign Tommy Lee then we need 2 very good half backs otherwise pass sales are going to be down

Really?? I'm in this bracket that you despair of. Every action has a reaction, and it's the same for signing players and adding extra passes on the back of that. I love my club, but I won't go spending hard earned money blindly unless the product is worth paying for.

Looking very likely given Huddersfield have signed Ellis from Cas, however, will Robinson (if he does indeed sign) come as a half or hooker? Which would suit Rover better?

Losing players to 'top clubs' is inevitable as long as we classed as a mid table side. look at Cas, after a great season their side is being cherry picked by other clubs who are (or would like to be) in the top 4/5. This is the unfortunate way of the world with all top class sports, money talks the players have short careers and good luck to them, RL players are not on mega money generally. We can only hope than Chester, Hudge & co know what they are doing and they are bringing in the best players available to us to fit in with the new order. I am optimistic that with the funds from selling players to other clubs we can afford to pay for a decent new 6,7 & 9 but as has been said there aren't many out there and do we want to pay over inflated prices for half baked players who don't want to be here ...no thanks, just decent solid players with heart will impress me more than any big name who isn't prepared to work.

Robinson would be an ok signing, he can play 7 or 9 and to be honest he cannot be any worse than Keating was last season. I would be happy with Lunt, but can't see it.

we will be lucky to get anyone average to replace keating burn hodgeson.. but we all live in hope that the people offering the contracts out know what they are doing.. but i also hope that we do not rush into things.. as people rightly say the season as just ended. but also people want to know who we are supporting next year player wise.. cos for the likes of myself dropping £200+ for a pass and not seeing a great deal for it is hard... and when money is tight well it makes it worse..

That's right, you keep bagging supporters for not blindly buying a season pass. Maybe then that type of supporter will stop going completely and we'll be back down to 1500 crowds.

Not much of a supporter if their attendance is affected by posts on message boards like this. To some extent I can see the argument about season passes but to stop going altogether because I go on about passes? I did not realise I had such influence. What world do you live in? Maybe I should post more on the FC board and bring their attendance down. I make no apologies for pushing passes. The club needs a guaranteed income and that is the best way that us ordinary supporters can help the club. Not the only way of course.

Traditionally the bulk of Rovers pass sales are in December, but with the introduction of DD payments it means supporters need to make a commitment earlier. Making such a decision based on the shape (or lack) of the 2015 squad at this point in time has many of my friends having second thoughts and thinking in terms of only going to certain matches.

I'm sure NH et al know this and the sooner they get the names of the new 6,7 & 9 released the better it will be for supporters to decide whether to renew their passes or even to become first time buyers.

Not at all. Imagine if all fans are like you, there would be no need for marketing to a wider audience, as the club would just 'expect' you to put your hand in your pockets blindly. I'm glad I'm one of a fair few who keep the club on it's toes, and expect the club to be more forward thinking and more proactive to a wider fan base.

Ur clearly partaking in idle gossip as much as anyone else.(which is what these pages are mainly about) I'm not in the know but I do know we have had talks with Shaun Lunt and I do know Caro and Jase Nev were told on same day they were not getting contract for 2015 and omari didn't find out at the awards dinner like some have said and that I can prove. We also agreed a deal with Millington but cas matched it at the 11th hour and he stayed put. I'm not in the know like some claim but I do have a friend who works inside the club who tells me the odd bit here and there.
