With regard to the situation TBH I disagree about building a hotel because if HKR can acquire a decent amount of funding the I can see Seamens jumping at the chance.

Right, so the council sells the land to Siemens or a hotel operator and as part of the deal they have to build you a stand. What about the indoor pitch/sports arena thing?

Have to say, the one thing the grudge has done well since he took over rovers is worming his way in with plastic politicians in order to get joe public to pay for what he wants at rovers. Fair play to him I say

You failed miserably in your attempt to dismiss the link road so clutch at the straw of the hotel not being viable, all the time claiming that you have no club related axe to grind, and stating ALL Rovers fans think the hotel is a bad idea, desperation springs to mind.
Unless you are some sort of research and development executive at Premier Inn or Travelodge I would guess you are not really in a position to decide such issues, and would also hazard a guess these type of companies, if they are going to be involved, aren't doing so because they are big Hull Kingston Rovers fans, it's more likely tobe because they believe it is viable, and so they stand to make a tidy profit from such a development.
Personally if the hotel is dependant on the Siemens site being based in Hull I think we're shafted, as I would be surprised if we get it here, unless there is some sort of incentives offered by the government, due to the horrendous employment situation here at the present time.

I think that the resounding success of East Hulls Cornmill Hotel proves the necessity for a Hotel in the up and coming Greatfield area.

However, there is an opportunity that guests would rather stay in the current state Cornmill hotel, so any business plan needs to consider that.

Cornmill as you well know is on Holderness Road closer to town than Greatfield, if you want a comparison then look at Platform 1 on old Hedon Road or whatever it is called, they have expanded and expanded over the years. There is plenty of business already down Hedon Road with the Saltend and Docks area that will all require a level of accommodation only afforded by the Hotel in Hedon and Platform 1 so I can see plenty of existing usage from them, the Green Project at the docks would be an added bonus.
