Manny Arms (Manchester Arms) is Scale Lane mate, Trog bar along with Edwardian bar made up Manchester Hotel in George Street. Trog Bar was absolutely brilliant, dark, loud, and with the stickiest floor of any pub in history, if you stood in one place for more than a minute or so you stood a real chance of being there all night.

Anyway, Trog bar was a great place, great music, and shall i say, ambience. It was the first place i saw the use of laser lights, you had to be in at a certain time to see "The Show", absolutely fascinating at the time, taken for granted now. When i went in Dramshop last year it was like going back 30yrs in a timewarp.

My haunt was Romeo and juliets spot on night club

We used to go there on a Wednesday.....good nights

Used to love Dram Shop & Sharkeys, can't remember the last time I was up that way. Was always a toss up between Silhouette & Spiders on a weekend, sometimes if we were feeling frivolous we would go to both. Quite liked Room too only on a Thursday though, it was a bit too techno/dance on all the other nights.
Had a few good nights in Blue Lamp & Piper too. Never made it to Welly for some unexplainable reason.
Anyone been to Fruit? I've only heard good things about the place but having 2 tiddlypeeps it's not so easy to get out nowadays.

Not been to Fruit but sounds like it's getting a really good reputation + a lot of events there e.g. gigs.

As my daughter moved in with her boyfriend I am the only female with 3 males...all that is ever on our tv is My name is earl, scrubs and some grown up cartoony things with silly things on!!...My name is earl is their favourite but I just do not get it!

Didnt get on with earl, Scrubs is ok. Modern family is good, waiting for season 3 of Haven and season 3 of V. Bit of a syfy geek me!

Well you can relate to how I feel surronded by the opposite sex....I like a good film and a good documentary drama but if I be honest I watch little tv...Loved Gavin & Stacey (Ness just killed me, awesome actress)...Life on Mars (Gene hunt is the best), and I presently am enjoying Outnumbered, that is about it really. The TV is on but I am generally on computer or reading tbh...or distracting hubby who is watching tv if I am bored
