| Are you the surgeon? So what did they use?
Hamstring grafts are popular now and there are often initial issues with the balance of the structure.

Agree about Campese, class, but there must come a time when you have to think about your future health, and not get busted up for a few more games.

| I think we will be lucky to see Manto before the 8's. Don't think his arm has healed as well as expected.

| A lot of posters on here belittled a poster when he claimed Campese wouldn't play more than 5 games aswell, they'll no doubt have forgotten who they are though.
Time for Campese to do the right thing and retire IMO. Great player in his day but it doesn't look like his bodies upto it anymore unfortunately.

| IF we stay up we canot go into next season in the hope he'll be sorted after a preseason. He won't, he either needs to retire or we pay him off. His injury isn't unlucky it's inevitable as it will be again. Shame but as said above we can't be sentimental. We binned Webster for less and he did more for us than TC ever has.

I actually said no more then 10. I was optimistic obviously.
I am not slapping myself on the back because I called it. But it was quite obvious after the first hamstring injury he was a goner.he could have been great now we'll never know.

I was one of the few who agreed, wish he had done the honest thing like mick weyman and retired, the guys body is knackered but our powers that be couldn't see it,been far better to get him into some form of a coaching role at the club.
Hes gone for the season according to the club,as I posted before we offered josh drinkwater a contract till the end of last season and he said it wasnt worth it for 6 months, now he is starring for leigh, and how ironic it would be if he helps send us down while terry sits and watches.Still he has become good at sitting in the stand,a season and a half practising for us.Its not his fault he keeps getting injured and a class act when on the pitch, but canberra knew he was knackered but we couldnt see it.

| really bad news for you guys and your fight in the middle eights you had better wrap up Kelly up in cotton wool for the next 5 games and unveil him for the end of season cause if you lose him it could be curtains for your super league survival and I'm not winding you up there I'm serious they make your team click, your forwards are not far off championship material anyway and although you have some useful backs when fit, they need a good link player as all teams do

Trouble is you wrap them up and go into the 8's in a losing mindset and risk further injury due to lack of match fitness. Tough decisions need to be made, ideally getting someone else in..

| Sad but inevitable news about Campese. Super League is short of class players and he is certainly one of them. The decision to extend his contract last season was madness. Related to this with all the long term injuries you have had this season I'm flabbergasted you have not got anyone in on loan? You have used this successfully before Chan, Chisholm and Puletua recent examples.

| The only consolation is that we know where we stand and it gives us time to find somebody for the 8s. If it'd been 4 weeks and then fingers crossed for another comeback, that'd have been queasy.
Whether we'll take the opportunity to make a signing, is another point of course.

Plus you need to try and get at least 10th position to get that extra homegame.
Must look at the loan market, Ryan Hampshire or Abdul could be options, would free up Blair to play backrow.

No disrespect to either of them, but they're not what we need at the moment. Well not as top priorities, anyway. I'd rather go with Blair at stand-off and sign quality elsewhere, if there are no more proven halves available. And in fairness there mightn't be.
The Wakefield chairman was saying that there are new and more stringent criteria for bringing in players to the UK from down under - can't recall whether they are already in force though. If they are, it'll limit our options. Chisholm's French passport was relevant, so it could already be EU/kolpak only - again suggesting to me that limiting ourselves to hbs mightn't be wise.

| Campese. 22 appearances out of 67 likely League and Cup games in 2 seasons. Injuries have robbed us of our talisman, captain and playmaker. Time for the club to cut its losses and the player to do the honourable thing and retire.
If available, I would have Dane Chisholm back for the rest of the season in a heartbeat. The sight of Albert Kelly struggling on one leg for parts of games is a worrying portent for a fairly intense middle 8s struggle to come.

| Peacock was adamant that no loan signings would happen at the fans forum. It makes me wonder whether this statement will bite not only him but 'us' on the backside because of his pride.
In the same forum, someone asked about the chance of us getting relegated, and the board practically scoffed at the question. Well I wonder if panic stations have woke the board and the management team to where we really are at the moment.

| Campese is doing everything possible to get back playing and has a Rovers contract until October 2017. Unless we are relegated (contract void?) he is completing his side of things so is entitled to another 16 months of full pay. If anyone wants to pay him out I'm sure the board would like to hear from them

Yep, your totally right. He can sit in the stands with a tartan rug over him for the next 16 months if he wants.
Don't you think players have a duty for the good of the club (like Mick Wayman) to admit when he's doing more harm than good. It's called doing the honourable thing.
