You have gone to great lengths to point out you are not trolling, so please explain why he's a "joke" signing. Without knowing what terms he's agreed to, and how he will perform, I'd love to hear an "intellectual" assessment of the term "joke" when used in the context of signing a prop.

I think in the opinion of most RL fans they would rather he was playing with their team than against them. Leeds fans, who watch him far more than most, seem to rate him highly.

I wonder how much of an influence Willie Poching had here. He refers to this signing as giving Rovers front row a 'grunt', something he offered in his prime, but he also knows Bailey inside out - both on and off the pitch (I've read the write up on Rovers website).

The point I am making is Poching will be a massive influence - this might be met with controversy but I very much doubt Bailey would have come without Poching in situ - and he will keep Chezzy on his toes; a guiding hand as he cuts the mustard as a No1, something he missed in his 9 games in charge last season.
