As for Burns rumour, really hope not, but if he does go then his loyalties were misplaced to begin with. The passion he's shown for the club for last two years might mean he won't take up that clause in his contract if it exists, but who knows.

Absolutely agree, neither would be the answer, certainly not Noble, some people seem almost infatuated with Noble

The club need to stretch their net far wider than these two if they are serious about moving forward.

It will be neither, however the problem facing Rovers is that the new coach will be picked by the same people who, after a lengthy process, decided Sandercock was the best man for the job.

All the psychometric tests in the world will not produce the best man to be in charge of a professional RL team of many differing personalities...and an inexperienced (in playing and adult coaching terms) ex school teacher was never going to be that man...

It is also very worrying, but explains much that is wrong at Rovers, that the chairman is taking advice from the failed ex Bradford and failing current England coach...

FWIW, rovers need an experienced hand to steady the ship for a year or two IMO. With the real prospect of relegation next year it would be asking a lot for an inexperienced coach
