Totally agree,having said that 34 points leaked against the team that was bottom of the league not very good.Got to say still thought we would be good enough to win tonight.

Very disappointing result. Thought this would be a decent barometer for where we're at. Could we back up a decent result and build some momentum? Apparently not.
After last season's slow starts in the early rounds, we now seem to lack composure at the back end of games. Back to square one, a bit. Against Wire and Leeds getting burned is excusable, against Bradford and Cas, you've got to look to yourselves a fair bit when you chuck away a winning position.
No point getting too down, but we've got a long way to go to get that consistency that coaches are always talking about. Ah, well.

Our last 15-20 minutes of games is horrendous. When we went 10 points in front the game should have being closed out.

The defence was shocking all game. No lessons appear to be learnt.

Judging by the amount of ball Cas had in the last 10-15 minutes, I'd say we can defend pretty well (when we want to).

We are not consistent though and that's the problem for me, but it was always going to be this season.

Tbh, we're a middling team and like most of those around us, we're erratic. There'll be good games like last week (and I've just got the DVD so that is some consolation for me at least

), and there'll be bad. Out of it by half-time is more dispiriting, late collapses are more painful. Might take up knitting!

Have to say i think we are at a crossroad as a club,if we dont invest in some better players how we gonna fill a new stand,people aint gonna come just because we've got a nice stand,they are only going to come if we have a winning team.We are in the bracket of teams that are fighting for 7th to bottom and if anybody thinks different they are kidding themselves,how we change that i dont know,hurt's me to say it but the Dullers are leaving us a long way behind as Adam Pearson is putting his money were his mouth is.

Sandercock needs to get this season out the way and start to bring in the players who will play well with his structures. I'm guessing 2013 will be another revolving door for players. with rumours of 8 players set for the door.

This season isn't over yet however and getting Galea, Green, O'Hara, Webster & Hall on the field will be massive.

I've no idea but if he felt the Ref was a factor and he's being interviewed about his view on the game do you mention it or not? In fairness to Sandercock, Hicks appeared to baffle the commentary team on more then one occasion.

Hicks is a lousy ref - one of those not up to SL standard IMO. Having said that, none of your fans have blamed the ref for the loss so it's interesting that Sandercock pretty much said he was the difference.

Maybe we should petition the RFL and get the matches reduced down to 60 minutes; that's all Sandercock must be training them to play for.

Agree with the players to come back hopefully improving things,but if there is a mass clearout again then we are back to square one and when we get ten games into next season we will be in the same position making the same excuses that there were too many changes.Coach should have been recruited when it was announced Morgan was leaving so that he could do the recruitment of players himself.Who are the 8 players rumoured to be leaving?

I've stated that the commentary team seemed baffled by his decisions on our other forum. Hard to comment when your not at the game but it seems to be an excuse that's overly used by Sandy.

Tbf, I think a lot of people underestimate facilities, relative to performance. Doing well is itself a relative concept, of course.

We can't worry about Hull especially... but, Pearson is in his honeymoon period and after their last board they're inclined to think the best. And tbf, signing Gareth Ellis is a massive coup. But, with the odd exception, and understandably, they're not focussing on the more equivocal signals and there is some (probably/hopefully

) unrealistic extrapolation going on. They seem to be a good deal better than us right now, mind you, credit where it is due.

But that is them. We've had our board a while now, so maybe take them for granted. I don't you can accuse them of not putting cash in the vicinity of their cakeholes though. Last week, on here and t'other forum, it was all about getting players signed up on long deals, now there'll be demands for replacements. Natural enough, but strategy can't be changed week by week.

Would never have a go at our board,but if we are honest we have been going backwards now since we finished 4th,instead of kicking on like huddersfield who are consistently in the top 6 we are struggling to make the playoffs.How we change this i dont know but ask yourself this if you are Scott Taylor,Josh Hodgson,etc would you want to sign long term contracts when we dont seem to be improving.

The season we finished 4th I feel we over achieved massively. This season so far we've only played 1/3rd of the season. Massive room for improvement but the season is far from over. Keep the faith.

That my friend is known as variation and is the reason why it is simply wrong to think that because we finished 4th one year we can "kick on" and results like that should be an expectation.

Hope i am wrong but i just dont see our coach been able to turn it around even if we have a fully fit squad,think hiring an inexperienced coach is biting us in the backside.Blaming referees every week doesn't cut it for me,you have to look at yourself,dont give the ref a chance to affect you by taking care of the oppisition yourself.

Dont expect us to win the league,but if we are spending near the cap would think we should not be struggling to make the playoffs,would have took Brian Noble in a heartbeat at least we would be better organised instead of gambling on a coach who was coaching junors until 2 or 3 years ago.

His attacking structures without Green and Galea is awesome and we have no trouble scoring points. We have to remember Sandercock has only brought in three players. The rest of the team he inherited from the Morgan era. Have faith we've had a massive clear out a new coach with new structures and only 9 games into the season with a silly run of injuries..

Davy (sp?) can pay fees for players, which is a big help. Add to that a batch youngsters developing well and the appointment of Brown and it's been a good few years for them.

Hudgell said something along the lines of our having waited to long to bring in a new coach, but that is with hindsight. Morgan's record was impeccable, but we did plateau under him at the . Is that blameworthy, when you can't [ibuy[/i players and you don't have players have an academy like Saints'?

There's a balance to be struck and if you're not one of the richest clubs the margin for error is narrow.

We are at a crossroads, and it'll be interesting to see how this phase develops.

One thing I like about CS, is that he comes across as quite precise. Given time, I hope he can get us playing smarter. Even then, without more money, from benefactors or on the gate (an upward spiral future is possible too!), you have to be realistic.
