I cant speak for Swain or Kearney but I do know how good Webster is and I know how influential he was at HKR even when Morgs was being touted as the best thing since sliced bread. I am sure even Justin would admit that.
Like I said there are a heck of a lot of young and now not so young players who will tell you they enjoyed playing with him, some of them were at Hull FC with him so all I was saying he was hardly a waste of cash. Agar didn't sit Webster next to him on match days because he had a big bag of Fox's Glazier Fruits in his pocket, same reason he sat next Morgs on the few occasions he was injured. The guy will go on to Coach at the highest level if he has ambition to do so, I am certain of that.
It is all about opinions, that one is mine.

Could have been a great off-season thread, that. I'd go for Maynards Wine Gums, or Cadbury's Chocolate Eclairs as the best half time confectionery.

![Laughing icon_lol.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_lol.gif) GML will be busy thread-cleaning later, that's for sure.
Back on topic. Can Rovers rival Wigan and have 9 overseas players in their starting 13? Doesn't look like it based on the proposed squads on here. Must try harder.

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"Doubt it, based on what has been posted on his performances so far. You obviously still believe signing Wheeldon was a massive coup for Rovers, though, given your sig.'"
So Morgan picks his team on what is posted on here now does he.
I doubt Wheeldon will make the 17 next week hence why he wasnt in the line up i picked but that doesnt mean i will be correct.
The sig was to highlight some backtracking by Hull Fans who totally changed their tune about him when Wheeldon left Hull FC so again your wrong as usual.
I did not see his signing as a massive coup at all.
And thanks to your haste in trying to make a smart comment this is yet another thread you have derailed therefore take this as another warning.
The thread is about the Rovers line up next week.
Back on topic everybody.

Vella and Fozzard are nailed on.
If feel Macca and Mills will get the other 2 props berths.
Wheeldon will have to wait for his oppotunity based on what i have seen so far (all 4 friendlies).
He works hard in defence and will run all day.
He has made more handling errors then any other of the props in the warm up games.
When he does get his chance im sure he wont let anybody down.

Good assumption of Scott... Some of our FC forum friends are grasping at straws with him... the season hasn't even started before the niggling's begun.
Remember their 'it's a marathon not a sprint. Scott and all the other 'squad' players will get their chance.
Seize the day!

Fair enough.
Or you could have just said he has a hand injury

| Briscoe, Fox, Welham, Webster, Colbon in the backs.
Cooke at Stand-off, or Murrell, if Cooke is injured. Morgan might go for Galea, but I think he is better left in SR.
Dobson at SH.
Props Vella, Fozzard, Mills, Aizue.
Hooker Fisher and Cockayne.
Back Row Galea, Newton, Murrell/Gene/Walker (is Walker fit? 18th man if he and Cooke both are).
If Cooke does miss out, having an extra strong-running back rower in against the Bulls pack will be some compensation.

Yes, 100%.
I'd have Walker in the team myself, he's been excellent in the games he's played pre-season.
I'd be tempted to have Walker and Webster at centre and Fox and Welham on the wing. I think Kris would be unlucky to miss out after having some fine warm up games.
I'd maybe stick Colbon on the bench to cover forwards and backs, he certainlty put in a lot of work against Salford.

Actually that sounds better, in a lot of ways. Looking at the Bradford board, they are predicting a heavy pitch if the game goes ahead at all! That being the case I'd even consider putting Vella in the second row with Galea at LF. Murrell then at stand-off or hooker, depending on Cooke's wrist. No, I've confused myself now ![ASK icon_ask.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_ask.gif)

| I'm yet to see a reason why Kris Welham shouldn't start the season at centre. Colbon was excellent in his spell against Salford so I'd start him on the wing. If Cooke is injured, maybe move Scott to 6, Galea to 13 and play Chev in the second row...? Gene in for Fitz so he can get over his injury early.
