Totally agree mate, there are some great places in Hull (inc some kinda hidden gems). Not a fan of town in general these days (apart from Dram Shop and Sharkey which are both still great, although not been in Sharkeys for a while tbf). Personal favs elsewhere include Hop & Vine, Wellington (both great pubs for real ale which have really got into

), Lamp, Piper, Haworth, Asylum (though it's rare I get there these days unfortunately

), and the legendary, King of Clubs (IMO) - Spiders.

Being a few years since we went in Dram Shop....made me think of Trog Bar which was across the road, it was good in there in the 80s.
