It is part of Hull FC folklore that Dane O'Hara thought he'd signed for Rovers until he actually arrived and found himself paraded round the Boulevard instead. Of course, it only took a fortnight of living in the city to realise how appalling was his original misconception, and he forever more hated "the red and white b@stoods" (his words) with the passion of a local-born Threepenny Stander.

I think something similar has happened to Willie today. His persistent references while over in Aus to his new club as "Hull" as opposed to "Rovers" makes me think O'Meley has pulled a fast one to get his mucker over here. Very suspicious that it is only today that he has started referring to "KR" and "FC".

So no proof then.

I don't think Mason will have that much of an impact at the weekend, Crusaders' defence is usually decent in the middle of the field against players with a physical style. The team have tended to struggle though when the ball has been shifted wide. I'd be more worried about facing Galea in the second row, he is someone who has the handling skills to exploit an overlap and send Fox on the run down the wing.

I doubt he will be going down the middle though.
On the edges is where I expect him to pop up.

Sadly at the moment even Lockyer doesn't possess the necessary handling skills to send Peter Fox on a run down the wing.

With regards to the Mason Vs Omeley comments; i cannot for the life of me think this will be as exciting as many are making out, yes they will both go for the win but they wont go in dirty or punching when there best friends.

Mason Vs Fielden/Peacock/Morley/Odonnell seem more interesting to me.
As does Newton Vs Perry.

If its Mason Vs O'meley then I used to love playing against my mates was always dirty/nasty but yet always in good fun.
I mean how ofter do you get to find out who the biggest dog in the yard is with you close mates without it making that friendship difficult.
