Would love to see a light blue shirt with red band (modern version of that 1980's Savoy Tyres one) one day.

Tbf that still doesn't really make sense - Hull release both theirs before Xmas and sell 10,000 every year. Most our fans are mad enough about the club that they would buy both anyway.

I would say that fans are more likely tO buy both if they are released at different times because it is a new thing that people can look forward to rather then getting both for Christmas.
In regards to Hull's sales, they do still (somehow

) have a bigger fan base than us, I think they may sell more if they were staggered slightly.

If I was the club I'd take a gamble and release both 2012 shirts at the same time (early Nov) like Hull and see how it works, worth a shot IMO.

Suppose the could try it one year. Tbh I doubt either way would have that great an impact either way.

Lack of liquidity to put a down payment on the shirts?

I was always under the impression that the manufacturer paid the club to produce their replica shirts, i.e. because it's a form of sponsorship/advertising?

I'm not sure and btw I'm not saying I've heard the reason is lack of liquidity it just seems odd that there's obvious benefits of bringing it out earlier. Have any other team not yet released a shirt design?

Well Saints must have brought their away shirt out way after their home one because until the other day tb was still removing pics of the away shirt from the VT.

Maybe another team with possible cash flow problems?

I see they don't have a shirt either... There seems to be a positive correlation between questionnable finances and the lateness of their shirt.

Well you can't be referring to us - our home shirt has been on sale since last year.

Last year was the 1st year (whilst in SL) that we realeased the away shirt at the same time as the home one, maybe they saw it didn't sell as well and decided to go back to one pre christmas, one post christmas.

Don't worry about it... They launched both in prinny quay in Nov. There certainly seemed more away shirts than home sold last year. Whether that was because of the same launch date or the fact the home was pretty rubbish is up for debate.

Maybe it didn`t sell well because the design was awful no when it was actually released.
