Used to - would just find one thing I liked and buy several. Hate shopping, me - buy the first thing that fits my very basic criteria. Met her through work - apparently she and the other women there assumed I just didn't change my clothes very often.

I know what you mean, there seems to be about twenty different areas, the only time I've been in the cricket ground was before the England Ireland quarter final in the 2000 world cup, they had the bar and stand that backs onto the rugby grounds north stand open. It was quite nice in there, so unless it's silly money we might head for there.

You'd think, what with being skint, that the cricket club would wise up to the fact that there are going to be a few rugby fans coming over to Leeds who might not normally go to the cricket and maybe try and promote it a little bit.

I think 'scientist chic' evolves gradually, following environmental cues. Honestly, I'm not even that bad. Actually the most successful seem to be the worst dressed.

I've just spoken to the ticketing office, although there is a choice of tickets they're all unreserved so you can sit where you wish providing someone isn't already sat there. He reminded me that because of the 'rugby', which he pronounced in a way that portrayed disgust, the cricket will start at 1.15pm. I did take pleasure with informing him that I already knew this as I was attending the rugby and had decided I would "give cricket a go as 20/20 isn't supposed to be as boring". He said my tickets will be at the ticket office...

Nice little jaunt over to Manc, lunch in Atlas (love that place me), really liking Danger Mouse's new album, yet to decide about Ghostpoet.

What and where is Atlas pmh? We go over to Manc quite abit since Dudley jnr started uni there. So always on the lookout for new venues. Thought about you the other weekend, they had a German or farmers market thingy in the city centre, some of the cheeses were very tempting!

Love those markets. Atlas is a bar right at the end of Deansgate, down by Deansgate locks, it's a very clubby on a night but quite chilled in the day, they do really good home made pies, but if real ale and the like is more your thing there's a place across the street that I can't remember the name of that's been CAMRA pub of the year for the last two years.

I think I know where you mean, the CAMRA pub of the year rings a bell, defo like the sound of the pies though.

Tonight I have to go to my friends restaurant and do a bit of food consultancy by eating everything on the menu.

Friday I'm at another restaurants opening night VIP thing.

Saturday I've comps to go to a big summer sale thingy.

Sunday, all day at the cricket and rugby.

Yes they are as they did the hard graft to get where they are.
No one gave them a free ticket.
That earns you respect, Listen to radio 1 or other stations and you will hear that as a general rule the winners of X-FACTOR as classed as some kind of industy joke.

I actually got hold of beneath the boardwalk the other day (the free cd they used to give out at gigs.) It's weird to listen to their old songs before they were tweaked to give the final sound. Very good mind.

I never actually got hold of a copy but I only hear good things about it.

It's basically a grittier whatever people say I am... With the edition of some later released singles like bigger boys and stolen sweethearts and then someunreleased stuff. Worth a listen if you can track one down.
