He may look at Wire and think he has a lot of rebuilding to do and then look at the youngsters at Rovers and be wondering if he can shape them to compete with Wigan and Leeds. Our 5 year plan could be coming together with new coaches and our young squad.
In another two years HKR's young squad will be reasonably experienced, hopefully well coached and then a couple of star players will make the difference.

Mcnamara's coaching record at club level is he took over from noble during the season 2006 and inherited the team that got knocked out of the playoffs in the semi by hull fc that year.He then proceeded to stamp his mark on the team,he became the 1st bradford coach to fail to make the s/l playoffs and did it 3 times on the trot and finished 10th 3 years running,until sacked by bradford,he also steered them to their longest losing run for over 20 years, brilliant!
Webbo took over at wakey and started in similar fashion to chester has at wakey but the fact of the situation at wakey is who ever coaches them has basically has only other clubs cast offs to use and no cash as brian smith found out.Do you not think there has been an upturn in performances since webbo took over ??

3yrs ago I wouldn't have wanted macnamara anywhere near our club but things have changed since then and Bradford we're going into decline when he was there I don't think it would have mattered who had been in charge

Our national side is the strongest its been for nearly 40 years,the australian and new zealand sides who game over here were both badly depleted,and we managed to defeat new zealand 2-1 in the recent tri series.We managed to reach the semi final of the 2013 before losing to new zealand who were thrashed by the aussies.His england coaching record is won 16 lost 11,hardly inspiring bearing in mind several of those wins are against france and in the 2013 world cup lost to aussie and new zealand,but had beaten fiji ireland and france.In the 2012 tri nations we beat france again and wales.In th 2011 world cup we lost to aussie twice but beat wales again.His record is dreadful considering the talent he has at his disposal,virtually everytime we play aussie and nz we lose.Just think about it won 16 lost 11,and most of the 16 wins are against france,wales ireland,fiji etc.Wayne bennett will be rubbing his hands at the wealth of talent we have as a lot of our players are stars in australia,and yet mcnamara couldn't do anything with.

You do realise that no matter how good our squad or coach is we still ain't anywhere near the quality of Australia and New Zealand don't you?

England have shocking half backs (I include Brough in that) and all Englands world class players are props. You can have the best props in the world and still fail if your half backs are gash and unfortunately thats what we have. Wayne Bennett will fail with England ultimately due to this.

So who do you suggest for us then? Wont be Tony Smith (even if he wanted to come) as his record with England was shocking. James Webster was shocking with Wakey.
