Despite all my analysis of why I don't think Tom Briscoe should be picked and not one Hull fan has said:-

"I think he should be picked because..."

The best I've got so far is "He didn't do anything wrong" and; "He showed a great bit of skill to keep the ball in from the 40/20 attempt" from an FC fan at work.

Aside from the Fox/Briscoe debate, one player who I think who really could offer the "x-factor" we need in the three-quarters is Will Sharpe of Harlequins. He's raw but he's got exceptional speed, is elusive and strong as well. I'd have drafted him in instead of Tom Briscoe. Does anyone else rate Sharpe?

If you genuinely believe that Briscoe was at fault for the tries conceeded, then it really shows your knowledge about RL and shows you up. A sad endictment of the city divide.

Wasn't nice to see Maka in civies at the end of the season and it's a shame he moved on but he's had his fill of SL and wants to chill and play in the championship which is cool so good luck to him.

TBF, and far be it from me to defend Zod, but i don't believe has blamed Briscoe for any of the tries.

I think he was pointing out a weakness in his game that was exploited when kicks went in behind him. The fact that Smith and McGuire defended like idiots was not his fault.

Tom has tons of ability and imo it is a cop out by his coaches that they continue to play him on the wing when he is so obviously better suited to the centre position.

Well he's been given the number three shirt for next season, so maybe a move to his favoured position is finally on the cards? Personally I'd like him to start there with Hall in the other centre position, but you just know that isn't going to happen.

Unfortunately coaches these days are more interested in their own jobs than the development of young players, not just a dig at Agar btw, but coaches in general. There is less and less emphasis on position specifics now and first grade coaches expect young players to just fit in, adapt and get on with it rather than receive the necessary coaching that will enable them to develop naturally into a position best suited to their ability.
