Why didn't folk understand the scott taylor quote of " I am contracted for next year" ??? that doesn't mean scott would be there next season.

Surely after last year's spat about paea lying to the fans, hudge isn't going to sit next to travis and let him openly string everyone along? He'll deffo be at rovers next year

I think he said 'I am contracted for next year so yes I am staying/will be here', really can't remember the exact words after the I am contracted bit.

It certainly left plenty of wriggle room.

To me it said nothing more than he is staying whilst he is contracted which he undoubtedly will. If Wigan buy him out of the contract then he's no longer contracted.

Maybe it's a done deal being kept quiet in everyone's interests or maybe Wigan haven't as yet agreed to meet Rovers valuation. Hopefully the latter and Rovers dig their heels in.

I think it's got to be one or the other. There's all sorts of words Travis could have used to totally kick this thing into touch once and for all. 'I'm contracted' certainly wouldn't have been needed.

In Toulouse I thanked him for his efforts and wished him well for his future career, I certainly never asked him where he would be playing and I would never have bothered to put it on here. Everyone knew due to his agent.

I'm disappointed in Mickey's season this year.

I do not fall into the camp that thought he was rubbish in 2012 for us and alright for a bit in 2013 (particularly after he signed for Hull), he was superb for most for the vast majority of his games. Best kick returns since Marvellous Makka and before him Zoopendous Zook.

'Am I staying...........well I've still got a year left to run on my contract.....so I'll be staying for next year'.

Not read the whole thread, but if(!) Burns did go to Wigan would there be any chance of getting Powell to come the other way? Not seen much of him (or any rugby of late, really), but if he's behind Smith and Burns he's getting to the point in his career where he should want to be playing.

I was talking to an old friend of mine last week who owns a small company and has done some business for Travis Burns, he told me that Travis wanted a little extra money and a car to stay at Rovers.
However, I'm not sure if that was for next year as an extra benefit or his terms for an extension, in hindsight i should have made a point of asking that question.

Based on yesterday - no thanks. However he has been a decent signing for this year. I can't see Caro being here in 2015.

Just because we are linked with him doesn't make him a priority now does it? Our wingers have a combined age of 113 so I think we need to address this fairly quickly before one of them dies.

I'd like to see Cam Smith but which top class hooker would come to Hull KR realistically. We'd probably end up with Scott Moore.

It will depend on what type of squad we assemble for next year, if Rovers recruit well and we look like making something of next season then there's no reason why other top class players cant be tempted to come to the club imo.
However, It will probably also depend on which route the club take regarding the coaching situation, personally i'm not convinced with Chester as the long term answer but we will have to wait and see on that one i guess.
