What a load of bollox. Ben Galea gave us good service and was one of the finest overseas players this club has had. It is well documented he was offered a lot less than he had been on and it signalled that the club did not want to keep him, meaning he returned to Oz or signed for another club. He was offered a good contract by another club and he accepted. The problem seems to be 'who' he signed for, if he had signed for Widnes or Cas he would not be subjected to such drivel has you have just posted. He is a Hull player now and as such will be accorded 80 minutes of banter by me, but never any abuse as I have too much respect for the man and what he did for our club.

I' heard the same rumours before the game but, it was not what i was told in the HP bar after the game. In fact if what i was told is true then this guy should be sectioned under the mental health act imo, i would love what i heard to be untrue but i doubt it was somehow.

A tad harsh. I don't think there's a sports club anywhere who wouldn't have at least listened closely to someone offering a big cash injection, although maybe one or two people not directly associated with the club may have let their enthusiasm get the better of them.

we as a club need some serious financial backers atm otherwise we will be following crusaders,wakey, bradford and salford into admin ,we already know the current backers are unwilling to carry on financing losses on their own and we already stand aprox 2m in debt according to what was wrote in the thread earlier, crowds are down 20%(passes) as people cannot afford the passes and then you get the club itself raising prices in financially difficult times(suicide), if losses last year was as high as stated then how high are they going to be this year?..... so serious injections needed urgently....

Got to draw a line at some point though, and they'd only do so if they were pretty sure, I imagine. False hope is worse than none, IMO. Intentionally or not he dropped a few clues, so I don't think there'll be too many devastated. It kind of died on its backside a bit already. They're talking to other potential investors according to the hdm - maybe that'll come to fruition.

Take it from me i believe it is, imo this guy has some kind of problem, without been specific, some of the things i was told yesterday you just could'nt make up, in fact unbelievable is how i would describe some of the stories about him.
So, i think you can safely say it is dead in the water and thankfully so imo, i would not want this Walter mitty character involved in any way with our club.
