The Naiqama brothers are Fijian internationals (Wes is the current captain, I think) so no problem with quota. The problem though is neither of them are full backs - Kev's a winger and Wes is a centre.

We need a new centre tho don't we if webbo going and I think Craig hall is wasted on the wing so both will do nicely and we keep Shannon to alls good

If McDonnell and Clinton both go it frees up two non-fed spots for foreign types, the signing thereof. Everything else (say Webster and/or Galea going) is pretty much irrelevant as most of the players with the best hair have Islander heritage and therefore Kolpak passports. Every other week i spend time in the Harry pool bar talking to friends including a couple of the directors whom i've known for many years and i hear all sorts of things, some relevant to the clubs fortunes and others not so, the one thing i hav'nt heard anyone say definitively is that there will be a mass exodus of 11 players or anywhere near that figure, for starters, where would we get 11 or even 8 replacements (as Mrs B suggests), of better quality than what we already have,? even if they were available dont you think all the other clubs would also be competing for their signature.?
At the end of the day they ( the directors ) including the ones i'm familiar with will only tell you what they want you to know and its not always a lot, i doubt very much that any of the others will give more information than they should to other fans, no matter how well they may know them.
So, if Katy Kenco or whoever feels the need to quote me on the what i said earlier, especialy if it adds to their otherwise dull existence, then i say go ahead quote away, im happy to be of service.

Just watched the highlights vid of Kev & Wes Naiqama, wow.

Kev, Great winger, left or right. Fantastic fend and brilliant turn of pace, some killer tackles when a try looked certain, too. The one where the post pads helped out was nothing short of amazing.

Wes, some fantastic fullback work and a deadly combination in the centres with his brother outside him.

Even if we did keep Shannon, these two have gotta be on't radar.

Where do we stand work permit wise? Given the lack of 1st team appearances could it be a problem? Does his Fijian status count in his favour?

At present Ginger no, as ive already said previously i've heard the various [urumours[/u as to who we may be at least targeting but thats all they are as far as im concerned at present.
However, for what its worth two of the rumoured players are from Newcastle nights (one been a centre/winger) if thats any good to you.

You know what, I'd take any two of Uate, W. Naiqama or K. Naiqama.
