One of my chef friends commented that the addition of a few raisins as pretend flies would have added to the ensemble.

We used to get chocolate biscuit things with cornflakes in, they were gorgeous.

Popped into Comet today to see how much a TV-DVD combo 22" would be.
I expected them to be cheaper than online seeing as it is a closing down/liquidation sale.
Comet were STILL more expensive then buying online with free delivery.
No wonder they are going to the wall if that is the price they are charging now as god knows what they were charging before.

They may be cheaper on face value but have you factored into it that you would have to have someone in or stay in yourself for the delivery which would either be a waste of a days holiday from work or you don't work and have nothing to do all day but wait in for a parcel?



I went in there on Sunday and got my Mum a new laptop. Even though there was only 10% off the value, it was still way cheaper then the same model anywhere online.

BTW Curry's are even more expensive.

Places like Comet charge the amount they do because the overheads they have compared to your internet retailer are extremely high. Comet need to pay for the sales staff, the rent on the shop, the council tax on the shop, utility bills etc. Internet retailers don't have all those overheads so they can charge less for their products. I used to work at Comet until I was made redundant in 2008 and I know for a fact that knocking 10% off all the products would not make them any money whatsoever and in some instances would mean they take a loss on a lot of products (eg iPads, games consoles etc.)

Bit late now, but I once mentioned to one of the (few) polite salesmen that an item was a lot cheaper online. He said that the store would usually try and match it IF you asked. Then again I'm still waiting for a missing brush for a vacuum cleaner I bought 2 years ago!

You have to go to the manufacturer for the guarantee.

But windows 8 is nothing like previous windows versions.
It's like Microsoft have sat down and though 'Lets make this as complicated as we can'.
As an example your desktop in now an 'app' in windows and there is NO start menu and any email which requires POP3 (Karoo, BT, Virgin service based email) isn't supported AT ALL!!!

No it isn't karma. Karma would be if you lost your job and house after you made that comment. Whatever your experience with the company, there are people who have and will lose a lot at a very important time of the year.

Maybe they'll go into an honest job where they don't have to blatantly hard sell items with lies.
