I liked fred elliot I say fred elliot. But Salford or us are going on a long trip down the drains.i like morrissey and Boddington ' s even tho its in Warrington now but I love the Rovers and I can't believe the depth of emotion this week is bringing out in me and mine.dont get me wrong I want us to win but I will take no pleasure in Salford fans pain if they lose.as some wise wakey and bull fans have said it really is a desperate week for all concerned.win or lose I think we need to be gracious as a group of fans and Take it as men.im far from convinced we will win but I will turn up hopeful

| Wane has tipped Salford to win. Last time he commented about ref being affected by the east stand I believe it directly affected the game.
Should stick his comments on the changing room wall to inspire us.

| Captain Peacock,James Webster, and Ben Cockayne are the main 3 reasons why nobody outside HKR wants the Rovers to win, they should learn to keep quiet,I wonder if Captain Peacock still thinks the Championship sides gets to much RFL cash?Come Saturday night Rovers could be a Championship team.

This goes back to my original point though. Singing FOR the team, not AGAINST the opposition (or any other team for that matter). Part of that is begging us not to sing What A Waste Of Money against Salford. It normally backfires and makes us look like a waste of money by full time.

I think stating that nobody outside HKR wants them to win probably isn't true. I think most people outside Salford or Hull don't really care either way. Some may have some beef with Koukash and some dislike members of our setup.
Cockayne's quote in particular, is actually true. But to offset this, the team had 30 other games to NOT be in this position. His comments are still valid though.
I'm not sure what Webbo said that has annoyed you.
As for Jamie, it's his own opinion, just like yours stating nobody wants HKR to win, which again, is your opinion, but may not be valid.

Some of us outside of Salford and Hull are watching with interest. From an outsider you have to say that Rovers bring much more to SL than Salford. The simple facts are that if Leigh replace Rovers then SL average attendances will reduce next year, however if Leigh replace Salford then they will increase. From a selfish point of view, Rovers bring a lot more people to us than Salford do and so put more money into our club and create a better atmosphere on match day when we play them. So, without even taking the whole "Koukash circus' into account, I am hoping that Rovers keep SL status this weekend. On the subject of Cockaynes quotes, yes they are true, however the situation is no different to if it was straight 'promotion and relegation'. The outcome would still be the same. Also, why should professional sportspeople have it any different to the rest of the population? You produce substandard work in 'normal job' and you risk being out of a job. People are being made redundant, or losing their jobs, through either their own fault or no fault of their own every day of the week. Why should Rugby players not be in the 'real world', and be immune to this? I think that sometimes they need to realise that they are an employee working for an employer, and that is their career choice and nobody forced them into it.

There is a big difference between straight promotion and relegation and the dumb system we have now is,win the league as leigh did last year and this year they are promoted end of story, instead of winning the league and having to go into an 8 team playoff. How do you come to think its the outcome isnt any different to promotion and relegation, give your head a gentle bang.

And the team relegated effectively 'lose their jobs' as Cockayne puts it. Sugar coat it all you like, but any promotion and relegation system results in one teams players being at risk, and the reason that they are is that they haven't been good enough. Simple

Leigh’s average attendance in 2016 - 4260 (Obviously going to increase to to SL status), highest 10,556
Salford average attendance in 2016 - 3193 (Down from 4106 in 2015), highest 5089
Hull KR average attendance in 2016 - 7684, highest 11,050
Now, I'm not exactly a maths professor, but these figures show it's more than just a 'hypothetical guess', as you put it.

I'm not disagreeing with you on that. I would have no problem with top goes up and bottom goes down. I can also see the merits of the current system, in that it tries to make sure that a club promoted are ready for SL, which I think Leigh now are, but maybe wouldn't have been if they had gone up last season. We will never know whether they would have been ready this season or not though, thats just me speculating. My post was more frustration at Cockayne making it sound that players were hard done by if they get relegated. He does have valid points, but I don't see why sportsmen/women should be immune to the 'real world'. That was more the point I was trying to get across.

I hope Sa'u isn't on the wing. He's not a winger in a gazillion years, his positional play is appalling!!
I'd go with:
1. O'Brien
2. Evalds
3. J.Griffin
4. Sa'u
5. Johnson
6. Lui
7. Dobson
8. Kopczak
9. Tomkins
10. G.Griffin
11. Masila
12. Jones
13. Flanagan

14. Kenny
15. Burgess
16. Hauraki
17. Krasniqi

| Strange that on paper salford have better players and if you had the pick of both teams you'd definitely take more of theirs than rovers but there is definitely something missing over theirs. I still think that you'll win quite comfortably on saturday and can see their heads going down if you score early on

That doesn't really tell the whole story though does it?
Salford's average attendance before the 6 point deduction was higher then the figure you stated. Who's to say that if we didn't get the deduction that our crowds wouldn't of maintained if not increased as we'd be in the top 8.
Leigh's highest attendance was a game where it was free admission! This will obviously boost their average as that crowd was probably nearly 3 times bigger then normal. What was their average before this game?

Leigh's average will have been inflated. Don't know the average before the Batley game, but the minimum against teams like Workington, Haven etc... (no disrespect, but the teams who didn't bring many fans and an easy victory was expected) was between 3-3,500. Then 5k against Bradford and nearly 6k against huddersfield, with 4k against the likes of Fax, Fev and London. Would expect a core of 4k home fans next year, and hopefully that can continue to grow as it has done for the last few years. (Could get a pint far quicker a few years ago!)
As for Salford, I find it strange that people stopped going after the points deduction. You go to watch the team, not the administrators.

| If you are talking attendances, according to Koukash around 2000 Salford fans are making their way over on Saturday. So taking a line from one of the arguments put forward by Salford fans not attending home games, HKR is easier to get to than Salfords own stadium.
Just as a side note I see you have a Leigh based referee and a Leigh based touch judge for the game. So I guess one set of fans is really going to hate Leigh (if they don't already) by the end of the day seeing as you both lost to Leigh as well.
