The simple answer is to (again) follow the Australian format and have 2 officials in the box. That way they can question each other for contentious tries, especially like yesterdays and todays (Salford offside) games.

On another point we were quick to tell the Hull fans to 'move on' last year and we should do the same now. What should happen now is that our marketing team should make the most of this and really get them packed in for the 'decider' at our place. It's 1 each, lets settle the issue in the most appropriate manner, on the field.

May I also say, how garbage were FC yesterday after what was a great team performance at Warrington last week. That is why they won't win anything this season.

Every team has an off-game. Even champion teams (Leeds lost 50-8 at home and still went on to win the league!).

I don't expect us to win anything this season, don't get me wrong. But to use one performance as an indicator is a bit daft.

Wellsy13, you are correct you are a top 8 team, you just aren't a top 4 team like most of your fans have been saying this year.

I like coaches being confident but sometimes talking it up sets you up for ridicule.

And before you jump on this I actually have always wanted both Hull teams to be better than the rest, i'd rather have a Hull KR v Hull FC final for everything. Although I would want Rovers to beat you all the time also.

I agree you can't be great every week but the fact is that your staff were talking up last weeks result as being a pivotal moment in your season and about the great team spirit etc.

Whilst I am sure there is great team spirit, why not simply quietly go about your business each week and sneak up on the so called 'big 4'.

We're aiming for the top four. It's a target. That target needs reinforcing and the players need to know what's expected of them. It was pivotal in that we can beat a top side at their place when we're behind. It gave many of our players that belief we can do it. We have often started games well and stopped playing in the last 10-20 minutes. Recently we've scored 5 tries in two games in last 10 minutes.

I'm pretty sure most Hull fans on here (a tiny minority of the fan base, of course) were saying 5th or 6th for us which looks possible as things stand.

I must say the team we put out yesterday (on paper) had no right to be that close to the team FC fielded, it just goes to show that maybe Sandercock has got something and people should have faith in him.

On the other 'top 4' issue, well I speak to a lot of FC fans and to a man they say that, on paper, their teams is good enough to be top 4. Shame the game isn't played on paper though. Again, this is a small sample size thats lacks any scientific credibility.

Rovers fans saying he cost us the "points" need to remember it was 16 all at the time and we were unfortunate to be only level as O'Meley's tackle on Mika was never a penalty. I have seen tries like Yeaman's not given but all of the sky commentators said it was try including Cummins. Both teams had tries that had dubious passes in them.

Hull had a daft decision last year, you did this year. Hull played poorly, Hull KR failed to capitise. Hull woke up in the last 10, and drew level - fair and square. You hadn't done enough to actually win this game either way anyway. Last year we were robbed of 2 points, you got away with getting robbed of 1. Holsworth should have kicked the conversation all day along after Yeamans try, so you were fortunate to be even in that position.

If Hugell believes that an investigation into standards is going to yield any results he is in cloud cookoo land. The RFL know it wasn't good enough and have aplogised. They don't need an investigation to tell them its not good enough. Hugell I suspect knows this however, which means he is just trying to make a lot of noise to pacify the fans.

If I was a KR fan, frankly I would have laughed at how ludicrous it was. Then, would have been annoyed by it. Then would have likely had a beer, made dinner and got on with life. It's sport.

Would require us to keep winning and one of the top 4 to drop away, Huddesfield have a reputation of doing this, and Leeds i would put out of the question either, and we have a strong 6th place now and aside from yesterday's terrible performance, playing well.

Yeah, I instinctively side with Hudgell, find most of the Grudgell stuff laughable, and accept that some of the things in that statement maybe had to be said - for domestic consumption, if nowt else. But some arguments dilute rather than add to your main point. That detracts, unfortunately.
