The first steps towards a possible merger would be (IMO) if this 'All Hull' vs ... ever materialises (and was a success)

Tbf, I've assumed it lay somewhere between a useful threat and a plan B since franchising came in.

I can't see a straight-forward merger, but it could split Rovers support if it was handled poorly. I'd start a poll if it weren't guaranteed to be hijacked by Hull fans.

Be it The Sun/HDM or another ... it's a story gathering momentum. The 'insider' quote certainly sounded like a club soundbyte we've heard before - "[iWe need to be self-sufficient and can only do it with better facilities[/i". Easy to look at it two ways; either we really are sniffing the KC or trying to direct the lack of progress @ CP firmly at the council's door.

I'd assume if we are serious about the KC, then we've already spoken to the likes of Allam/Pearson. I'd very much doubt anything would happen until City had finished their season. After that, I can envisage a time where we are saying we can't realistically play our games @ CP with only 7.5k capacity (+S/terrace) and thanks to Allam/Pearson, they've let us use the KC - for an interim period. The club expresses sincere apologies to the fans and make out, it's a last resort and only temporary

At the moment, things aren't too rosy. We're desperately trying to get this North Stand on the go, but we don't really seem to be any closer now, to when we started with all this Euro fund. It goes from one 'delay' to the next. I realise the club's hands are tied somewhat - but ... the longer nothing happens - the more ammunition there is to this KC saga. TBF we may as well patch up the golf stand, as right now - if we're looking at another lengthy delay with the North Stand - it makes sense. This would please more fans than the other option and would certainly put to bed all this talk of KC. But this probably isn't as financially beneficial as the other option. Hmmm

Merger
It's just never gonna' work, unless one club is absorbed into the other - and that's only likely to be one way. There's no way Hudge would ever allow that.

I've been telling you for [uages[/u the ERDF money's not through. You really should re-assess who to listen to on this sort of thing.

Anyone thinking of MS3? Don't think they will be happy if we up sticks and play somwhere else. And I think this North stand upheaval has gone on long enough now, and the club HAVE to come out and tell us what's going on. I've not bought my season pass yet, and if I find out were not at craven park this year then my money is staying in my pocket. Tell us what's going on rovers!!!!!

i'd obviously prefer to stay at CP but if its a business reason, ie breaking even for a season, till the funding finally arrives for the build then i could stomach that for a season. At the end of the day we might just have to look at the bigger picture and go with whats best for the club in the long term. If that means a permanent switch to the KFC then whilst not happy about it, if it makes for a more stable club and moves us forward i'd go with it. After a while it would just be the norm i suppose. Cant see city being happy about it though, the pitch at the business end of their season would be well knacked

I can't see it happening, I cannot think of another stadium in England where they have three professional sports teams playing on it all year round. It just isn't feasible.
If it did happen and we moved there it wouldn't stop me going and as someone said after a while it would just become the norm but I wouldn't really like to play in a half empty stadium for home games. If it ends up to being the only way the club can balance the books then it has to be done but I do hope we can get this north stand built soon and make craven park home for a very long time to come

I doubt that! We will all talk and squabble on here while nothing will be officially announced. Seems to me the board, CEO, and chairman like keeping us in the dark these days!

Well if we do play at the kfc for the whole year then I disagree with you, it would be a disaster for rovers, I know many people who would ask for their money back. You forget the older brigade, they are stuck in their ways, like to stand where they allways stand, amongst the same people in familliar surroundings. And like my old man who's 75, wouldn't touch the kfc with a barge pole. At least get the east stand ext built and we can go on from there.

For me personally It wouldn't bother me if my club had to move to a miles better ground even if it was in East Hull.

Can't see anything in this. The cost of renting the KC would outweigh any benefits for all but the derby game.
