Phelps is a good player IMO, not spectacular, but handy. Bit injury-prone unfortunately but would be a decent replacement assuming Slater's not coming.

Jon Clarke turns 33 early next season, so I wouldn't want him on anything other than [umaybe[/u a 1 year deal - could he be bothered to relocate/commute for that? Widnes would be more attractive even on a lower wage.

Ellis would be better - younger than Fisher, and for all that Fisher doesn't count on any flavour of quota, it moves away from the Hull Kingston Aussies tag. Not sure he is better though. Tbf, I'm also not certain we could get better even using the quota spot though, as I know squat about the NRL.

Fantastic player and it's been a joy seeing him perform defensive heroics for our club so many times over the past four seasons. A Rovers legend IMO and someone who will not be forgotten, deserves a huge ovation / appreciation at the last game of the season for sure. Thanks for everything Shaun, legend.
