As much as it pains me to say it we were well beaten by a better organised, disciplined side with a better game plan. Our forwards were smashed all over the park. Our kicking game was poor how many times did we kick it straight down their throats on the 3rd tackle? Even the 40-20 was clearly not. Poor Briscoe must have felt like the last man standing at the alamo; the way they just ran through the middle without a hand laid on them. How many stupid penalties will Cockayne give away before he learns? All in all it was a shambolic performance and bad coaching on Justin's part; why leave Cooke out? We need to forget about the last two games and move on; winning and losing can be habitual.

i disagree, i thought we were well beat too, Huddersfield could have put even more points on us too but we only have Foxs disallowed try to look to. too many daft penalties and not enough ideas going forwards IMO

I think the first two tries came after harsh reffing decisions we see going the other way often. Even though Galea did not play at the ball, technically Mikali was in an offside position, but we see these overlooked regularly when they are tight decisions. I still feel we should have had a penalty when Colbon was taken without the ball, its irrelevant that he could not have stopped the player scoring, he was fouled, end of story.

i thought Colbon was too concerned with where Hodgson was, he should have just gone for the ball rather than dilly dally about waiting to be taken out

well i think we all agree we played poor compared to how we have been, but keep in mind the commentry and some in the Hudds camp said this was one of the best games theyve played so far this season - to keep them down to 4 points in the 2nd half when we are poor shows the progress we have made.

I was disgusted with the way we conceded the first try, the tackling on Moore was comical. Fair play to the kid, it took some work to get over but he should have been put away in the tackle.
Same with the second really from Mossop, a simple drop-off and the kid cruises through! We was set up well in defence with what looked enough numbers then not enough effort from the square markers and the kid bursts through, really poor again!!!
2 really poor defensive errors really hurt and looks like to me to have cost us the game.

2 mins before HT we are camped out on their line, a silly ball from Fish to Gene going straight back into their square markers(which he was likely not to go through)and we drop it. First 30 secs of the 2nd half and Cudjoe clearly knocks on only 4/5 meters off his own line and the call goes against us. 2 massive chances for us to get back into the game. I also thought we were unlucky when Fish burst through only for his kick to be a yard to heavy for Welham to gather.

Our attacking options in Hudds 20 where to easily read, to many settlers and none threatening plays for me.
Yes I think we were just edged out by the slightly better team on the night but I also think a few calls went against us that could have made an influence on the game.

a couple of smarter decisions from hudds when instead of passing they went at briscoe and we would have been dead and buried in the 1st half.

There chase and enthusiasm was much better than ours and we got what we deserved.

The thing that surprised me was how in the inside sport thing Morgan was screaming about poor plays on the 5th and to keep our heads and then for the next 2 games we have done the self same thing. a few smarter plays and we would still be in the cup and clear in 2nd.
