It's not a shock having no away fans I only expected Bradford to bring a few and I guess there will be a big turnout of Fev fans on Good Friday and Halifax will maybe bring a few but expecting teams that get 500 at home to travel in large numbers is nonsense does anybody actually remember when we were last in this league we had no away fans apart from the odd game

Im with you on this one, the kid made a huge mistake 10 years ago, who didn't make mistakes in their 20s? might not be as bad as he did, but what he does for the club with fundraising efforts for the RSG, plus its undisputed in the fact he bleeds red and white and loves this club to bits. Loyalty is a hard thing to find in sport, one thing you cannot question is that he is as loyal as they come. That and the fact he has played some bloody good rugby for us over the years.

But we have better wingers the problem with Ben is yes he gives 100% and can cover a few positions but he's not really good enough in any of them I'd keep him as cover only

Ben has something the squad is lacking and that is experience. We have a young squad and his experience will be invaluable this season.

Maybe lots of our fans doing the moaning ( not here but on other social media platforms) don't remember support levels pre-2007? Back then most away fans congregated near us in the East Stand and so the numbers were not so easy to gauge. It was more fun then as the banter was on another level.

Apart from Haven fans, they were just massive bells.

Good post, I think that everyone need to put things in a little perspective. The reality is that rugby League is a minority sport and we struggle. Super League in reality is all there is (that is not a dig). It's sad that this sport cannot take off.

Sheffield is a huge city with the ability to attract I would think some decent support, it's really sad that they can't. I don't understand it, I went to Uni in sheff and went to support them in Sl as couldnt afford to get back to hull each weekend. Sad state of affairs and to bring 16 fans IMO is pathetic. The city is 3 times hull's size, someone should get the blame for this.

Wealth doesn't come into the equation for the unwashed side of Hull, when your chairman employs woman to stand on Anlaby Road begging people to buy a ticket for £2. "if your not on the rob or shooting heroin tonight you can watch FC for £2" was the sales pitch I was told.

To be fair Stan it is pretty impressive and you should be proud of it, but made me laugh when you said you didn't want to be like us going on about massive support, all through out the off season and every week There is a game, Rovers social media is talking about crowds etc all the time, I've even seen a few posts from fans claiming they should be back in SL based on you home and away support.

I went to Hudds away last year with some Rovers mate, and they were half the estimated amount that went to Dewsbury today, so are these extra going as it's guaranteed a win?

I think the numbers are based mostly on guaranteed Sunday rugby, it's a positive for home attendances but huge boost for travelling numbers, and that goes for most clubs - see Cas @ Widnes today.

There's a bit of novelty on there as well, 14 years since I last went to Dewsbury.

I'm enjoying away games again for the first time in a few years, Sundays is a massive plus point, allows an earlyish start, stop off somewhere for a bit of shopping and a bite to eat and on to the game, much better than high tailing it down the M62 on a Friday night and getting home at 1 in the morning.

It has the disadvantage of having a complete moron stood behind me who could barely stand and had learned the spoken word from someone with a bad case of Tourettes.

I must admit i am really enjoying the Sunday afternoons. Easy to plan my weekends no changes to take into account. No early morning arriving home after Thursday or Friday matches. The standard of play is a downer though.
