Looking at that you can see why NH is so up in arms about it, the Whiting one is terrible.

The consistency has been poor recently. So the RFL's only real defence against claims of bias then becomes one of incompetence, which isn't great.

All leaderships or bureaucracies (whichever it is) have a finite useful lifetime. This lot rather jumped the shark with licensing IMO and some fresh blood would be good. It's not an easy job, more responsibility than power, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

Understandably chairpersons only kick up a stink if it goes against their team. In that case they make a complaint. Rather than making a t-shirt when a decision goes their way, for example.


Or saying 'we'll take that, as we've had enough go against us'. So it rarely builds up enough momentum to make a difference.

I'd like to see a few chairmen get together and make some specific recommendations.
I'm personally curious about whether allowances are made for previous good behaviour, on top of the EGP system? Whether 'missed incidents' (I mean, seriously WTF?) can be considered later when brought to the attention of the panel? Whether you can plead guilty but challenge the grading? How does the panel view the relative severity of a sin-binning or sending off vs a ban?

And how are offences bench marked?
Poore deserved a ban this week, IMO. But three weeks when Widnes get off? Similar with Paea/Flower last week and the week before. This week it should have been both, the earlier ones it could easily have been neither.
Incidents should be judged on their own 'merits', but surely not entirely in isolation.

Looking at the 2 incidents if Poore can be singled out then how the hell can number 27 for Widnes not be?
Booth are the ones with a stooped back in those clips.

Hudgell is bang on if more spoke up from other clubs and refused to pay any fines for doing so what else would they do we all have a right to free speech or arn't we a democracy anymore all fans and clubs want is consistency on and off the field then nobody would feel the need to speak out

It needs sorting we had Collis get a 2 match ban for a careless tackle on Gaskill and that didn't look anything like Amor throwing the haymaker he did on Sunday and Amor gets 1 game ?.Have a look on official Wakey site near the end of the game that haymaker was thrown with full intent but gets 1 game.Well said Hudgell needs some more to stand up and be counted.

I saw the Amor one on SL Fulltime. Given the refs positioning, I can't fathom how he managed to stay on the pitch. To compound that error with a 1 game ban is ridiculous, unless they reverted back to the "Bowen scale", in which case he was hard done to!

You're absolutely right, no way in my eyes that the ref could not see that happen, he was looking straight at it.
This is then compounded by the match review panel grading it as "[iB-C Reckless – tackler in control[/i " as opposed to "[iD-F Intentional – clenched fist – intent to make contact with head[/i" or
"[iD-F Intentional – stiff arm tackle – no attempt to tackle legitimately – violent[/i"

How anyone can watch the video and tell me that is not INTENTIONAL from Amor is beyond belief.


Same with comparing the Poore incident with the Whiting one - No difference in my opinion (except one on Whiting actually looks worse) but treated completely differently.
What do these people do when reviewing the matches? Because they're clearly not looking at the physical evidence.

Most annoying thing for me is refs copping out in the games and using the on report. They should get rid of it IMO and refs should be encouraged to send off for blatant foul play. Do that and it would significantly reduce withing a few weeks

I agree with Hudge, about time the Red Hall buffoons were taken to task.
(Finding myself agreeing with Hudge has left me feeling unnerved, just going to lie down in a dark room.)

Perfect illustration of why the performance of the RFL administration never, ever improves.

He should just pay the fine but get someone dressed as a court jester to hand deliver one of those massive cheques they use for charity shoots and have every major newspaper on hand to report on it
