He has knobbly knees, and turned-out toes, and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.

Julia Donaldson is the saviour in our house, little one loves all her books. "What the Ladybird heard" is her favourite, we have two copies because they brought out a sound board one. She's only 1 and if you say "and the dog said...", she presses the correct one whilst doing her own woof's, she also does the Goose hiss but confuses it with shhh and puts a finger on her lips whilst doing it.

A classic! Almost as good as the Dirty Berty books.

Another year older today, just getting ready to go for some scram with Mr's g. Not sure where to go or what i fancy just yet, but i'm sure a couple jugs will get my appetite going. Was thinking of Antico Forno, but don't think i fancy a pizza or pasta.





is a good place to start, probably start on Newland and then have a walk down prinny ave, not been down there for a while.

Have a good Indian with a tiger beer or two.

There's an Iranian restaurant on Princes Ave, forget the name. You can eat like a king and will struggle to spend £15 between you (excluding beer).

Try Koo down Newland, supposed to be really nice. Not sure about food but heard its got a nice atmosphere. Plus I need someone to check it out on a weekend & report back

GR, how was you birthday evening? Did you make it further than Newland Ave?

Didn't stray to far from Newland (nothing new there

), weather dictated that

but totally enjoyed the evening.

Started in Tofts, which is a good for me, then moved down to the Ruby lounge to decide where to go. The meals in there looked OK but the atmosphere wasn't the intimate one we where looking for. The heavens then opened so we decided to pop across to the Koo bar...what can i say...well i know the bin isn't the Hilton, but Koo bar won't be getting visited by me again. Unless i missed something in there, i wouldn't eat a bag of crisps in the place to be honest, maybe we caught it at a bad time, once a group left that where in a cubby hole, it left me and Mrs G, we moved into said cubby hole (with a beer pump in the middle of the table) and it just seemed shabby.

It was decided to give Antico Forno, the Italian, a try and as it turned out, a good choice, will be visiting again in the near future.

That's a shame about Koo, I'd heard it has some good stuff on during the week.

To be fair the boys are really good, my 5 year old doesn't really like rides & my 7 year old is happy as long as he gets a go in the Funhouse & on Hook a Duck. Mr Baldhead took our older one in the Ghost Train last year, not a good idea. He was having nightmares for weeks.
I just think its a rip off, the bow & arrows don't last more than a couple of days.

Got some proper dirt on him that i may start dishing in the weeks leading up to our clashes next year.
