Does my first sentance not answer the question? I cant speak for 1500 fans but people DO NOT want to watch a match from the South Stand.
You didnt answer my question?
Wanna try again perhaps?
Thought not....
Why not ask would Hull fans pay to go in the South if Rovers hadnt charged such ridiculus prices for a very limited view.
Methinks you only want to hear one answer.

| Quote ="Mrs Barista"Not sure TBH. Obviously there's an element of fans whose attendance is dependent on form and success, but I think there are some who, having sampled the South Stand, just wouldn't pay £20, especially as it's textbook Hudgell to double the prices just for us. For some it would actually be quite satisfying for the game not to sell out, as Rovers will have budgeted for a sellout.
Although I'm still confused about the continued debate on here. The game is a sellout. It said on your website this week that the fixture is [ucertain[/u to be a sellout, so they'll have to say it is anyway to save face.
'" That's not answering the question is it

The south stand is a joke and i wouldn't ever pay a penny to 'view' a game from there and there is no change in any balance of power either. Hull are a much bigger club than Rovers so stop kidding yourself, put your sock away and switch your computer off else you may well go blind
'"
You can try to put as much spin on it as you like, the fact is, many of you are an extemely fickle bunch of supporters.
I personaly have been watching Rovers 4 decades and during that time travelled all over the country, even when we were in the old second division, and believe me i've been to some dumps during that time.
I've also been soaked to the skin ,half frozen to death been ripped off financialy, attacked and had bricks and other items thrown at me at one or two grounds.
Did it stop me from going to support the team i love to support?, did i turn around and complain about the state of those grounds, vowing never to return to them ever again?, the answer to those questions is an emphatic no, i continued to follow my team regardless of any of adversities or shortcomings, that is what you do if you are a genuine supporter, but i guess you and many of your so called Hull Fc supporters will always find an excuse because it suits you to do so while hiding behind the pretence of been a top club.
The shift in power realy has taken place and if you think for one moment that it will be short lived then think again, with future plans (and there are plenty) both on and off the field, the present shift in power will continue for quite ome time to come.
In many ways, now is like the late seventies and early eighties when rovers were top dogs and Hull were in the old second division before eventualy gaining promotion and and having their most succesfull era in RL overtaking rovers during their gradual decline in the late eighties and into the ninetees, you should remember the old saying, what goes around comes around, we are back and on top so get used to it.
It aint going to change for some time to come!!.

OK here is my rational behind the poor sales.
In 2008 we were 2nd bottom and sold out the south stand the week after Wembley when most realistic Hull fans expected a slump following a tough week physically and mentally at Wembley. We still sold out. The game was not televised.
This year our form is poor, the game is on a Saturday evening in holiday season. Many will choose BBQ, Beer and best seat in the house...sky sports.
As a club we are the only fans to pay 17 pound to stand in a disgrace of a stand. 17 QUID!!!!!
Poor form does have an effect on attendances for sure but there is far more to this then Hull FCs current form.
Finally from a personal point of view I am going tomorrow but not in the south stand and this is my first super league derby at craven park having previously watched derbies from all parts of the ground. I just refuse to watch a game from the south stand again. Simples
So no I do not think the south stand would have sold out if we were 2nd place.

I don't understand why would Rovers say something is a certainty in 4 separate website articles when it clearly wasn't? If they'd spoken to the KC ticket office at any point since our allocation went on sale it would have been more than obvious that we weren't going to shift them all.
Quote ="Reenyrobin"2)Why would we have to save face? It's your lot not making up the numbers, so I would say, it's out of Rovers' control.'"
Rovers said the match was a sure sellout. They will therefore look silly if it isn't. We, on the other hand, were offered some overpriced tickets and many people have politely declined that offer.
The fact that it might not sell out may be a reflection on Hudgell's somewhat disingenuous pricing policy, which is very much under his control, I'd say. I assume you have sold all your tickets then?

Are KC ticket office talking to Rovers ?
Presume they are following the lead of the club and refusing to talk to anyone

| The bit I dont get about this "we're not going cos it's a crap view" business is that tomorrow will be the 4th SL derby at Craven Park.
Surely the time for the dummy spit should have been after the 1st SL derby when they found out what the view was like???......oh hang on...yes I forgot...they won that one didn't they

| If it was fickle Hull fans making excuses about the Ground then explain why 2000+ went to Cas?
Was it because the price was fair and noit increased just for them?
Was it because they could see the pitch?
Or was it because they are not frightened of losing to Cas like they are Rovers?
Giver your heads a bang, KR are a disgrace charging £17 for that area, it aint even a stand. It should be free to anyone daft enough to stand there.

Replaced by the mass support of Celtic and Salford
For somebody who supposedly deals in facts which part of that bothers you.
Rovers average by the end of the season will have gone up on 2008.
That should be congratulated.
Our average is better then Hudds who practically gave their season tickets away and not far behind Warrington who play in a shiny newish stadium.

| When I think of all the truly terrible grounds I've endured to support HKR over the years it makes me pity HFC. Fancy not having enough true loyal fan that are willing to get behind you in your greatest hour of need that you can't even sell 1500 tickets. Truly sad!

I've never said Rovers crowd increases are less than impressive, but come on, for a club with planning to invest in a financially viable capacity of 14,000 for the 2010 season and that was in 2nd for a long stretch of the season, why would you expect anything other than an increase? Have a big pat on the back for like for like crowd growth of 2.5%

As the price and the stand position are similar to our first two seasons in Super League i'd guess your third choice is the hot favourite.

| IMHO I think it's terrible that we charge hull fans so much for south terrace tickets. Until we can replace it (and for me that day can't come soon enough), that stand should be open every game and be no more than a fiver no matter who we're playing.
I also think the north stand tickets should be cheaper. The club should make that end £12 and try and fill it every week. Surely it makes sense to have twice as many people there without even halving the ticket price?
I don't buy all this 'we pay the same to go to whoever and stand in the rain' justification. There is no stand in superleague anywhere near as bad as our south end, and I wouldn't blame any fan for not wanting to go there, especially at the price we charge hull. We can twist it how we like, but it does nothing but leave us open to criticism (and out of pocket by the looks of things).
