Past his best but by all reports been solid this year. Just look at Lynch at Hull, a year to far for him, age has caught up with him, been a top player but it don't go on forever. Plus has O'Meley upped his game a touch this season knowing he will be looking for a new contract/club?

I would see it playing out as it has for Galea, served his best years but moved on after it was looking like he was going backwards and it was proved we released him at the best possible time.

Can't be any worse then what we've had from Ryan O'Hara this year. Quite possibly the highest paid forward at the club and he hasn't managed a game this year.

Every signing is a risk we've had O'Hara for two years and has played very little but was seen as a good signing at the time you can never tell I would give omeley a year

Your right about you never can tell but you make informative decisions based on facts and experience so you can eliminate as much risk as possible. That would keep me away from O'Meley.

Tough one regarding O'Meley. He is on the wrong end of the age scale but then props can seemingly go on longer than most other i.e. Peacock, Morley. I think id rather stay clear but if we got him he may well prove the doubters wrong. Or be a scapegoat who shouldve just retired like a former robin across the city

Can't see O'Meley coming to be honest, Reckon he'll hang his boots up and go home. Playing well ATM but I think he's in the Indian summer of his career. Next year would be a year too far, would be a Galea to Hull type signing.

Depends what salary cap space you've got spare, if your able to spend the full cap and have a spare few quid its not a massive risk. He'd be great for Green and maybe Barlow.

If O'Meley does another year, my guess would be Wakefield.

I don't see that as an issue if i am honest. If we are interested in signing him for a year and offer him a deal we thinks is fair why wouldn't he? I'm sure he would rather play for another year and earn decent money than not just because his friend has some issues.

And I am sure if Rovers ever did pay his wage they would become the best and most vocal fans he has ever known........

If you could get O'Meley on the right money, He'd be a good signing for any club for a year! - Been great this year in what I have seen of him.

The fact that Hull don't want him for another year speaks volumes. No go zone for me.

Tbf not many people show loyalty any more in sport i'd be ed off too but deep down you can see why they chase the £££'s but they should just be honest from the start .

How many times do you read fans saying they're always injured, not good enough, don't try, not worth the money (that nobody's knows) that were paying him.
