Thats the bit that is the most amusing, the view that we're jealous of their one trophy in 21 years. I'd love to have the success of Leeds or Wigan, but that takes time to build and isn't handed on a plate.

But at the start of each season the forum is full of expectation and hopes for the coming season. I mainly saw FC fans hoping/predicting a top 4 finish, as did I. I don't really see this as a delusion of grandeur. On paper we had a squad capable of it and discovered some exciting new players. No one expected Hudds to finish first did they and I'm not sure any team didn't hype themselves up at the beginning of the season. Some individuals might have done but I'm pretty sure it wasn't the general consensus on the Hull forum. Our chairman said what he wanted, don't think that means it will happen, I'm pretty sure yours said something similar?

Winning the challenge cup eight years ago!!!! Sport is cyclical and the NEW regime is making progress, thanks for your concern. Expect that our little trip down to our countries capital city will have made a substantial amount of money for the club. Losing finals can be more profitable than winning them!!
