| Quote ="Seventies red"Yes! i and several thousand other Kr fans have done so, on several occasions at that rat infested hole you used to call the Boulevard, the terracing where the Hull Kr fans used to stand was no better than the current south stand at Craven park, its also worth mentioning that rugby was a winter sport then so there were many times when we would have to stand in freezing cold conditions including hail and even snow, did it stop us going though?, no it didnt because we were real supporters who wernt afraid of 80 minutes of a little discomfort especialy if we thought out team were going to win on the day.
With the above in mind i have to ask myself, are some of you new breed
of Hull fc fans real men and women or mice?, judging by some of your excuses i would probably suggest the latter, so much for the in any kind of weather song you still sing, you should change the lyrics to, in any kind of sunny weather and only if there's a nice cosy seat, preferably with a nice soft cushion for me to sit on.

I actually quite like going when it's bad weather, I find it rather bonding. Bradford a couple of years ago, Leeds about three years ago when it snowed.

| The south end at Craven Park leaves a lot to be desired we all know this. Rovers know this too and are trying very hard to make ground improvements which would put this right. That's all there is to it for now, we all hope not for much longer.
Hull fans are entitled to stay away if they wish. If Rovers could 'magic' up a solution I'm sure they would I'm sure they'd like Hull to match the 6,500 Rovers take to the KC. At £20 a ticket that's worth £130k.
If I were a Hull fan I reckon I might stay away too if the game was televised but I wouldn't miss the game otherwise. Let's be honest any Hull fan that is keen enough could easily have got a ticket for the well or North Stand.
As for the Gordon St end at The Boulevard it was awful easily as far away from the pitch as Rovers south stand. But back then people didn't worry as much about faciities. The threepenny stand would not come near to meeting H & S requirements and there were only a few hundred seats nothing like as many as (Old) Craven Park.
For me Craven Park (old) was a far better ground but The Boulevard did have a bigger capacity which is why it got the odd minor international game.
Neither ground would have met current SL standards I dare say.

You are correct in your initial obsevation Mrs B, that i did and am accusing your stay away freinds as fair -weather supporters,
If you read my post [u carefuly[/u , you will hopefuly be capable of realizing that i was replying to one of your fellow supporters comments regarding not turning up to craven park due to its apparent lack of facilities, i.e open stands no cover, or issues with distance from playing area etc etc and would we do the same if the boot was on the other foot?, to which i replied, myself and many other Kr fans have done exactly so on many occasions at the old Boulevard, in all weathers and despite our league position at the time, they were Derby games and nothing else mattered, we were certainly were not put of by the faclities at the Boulevard which incidently from my experiences were far worse than what currently exist at Craven park ,( which part of that didnt you understand Mrs B?)
Now considering the fact that a great number of your fans have stated on many occasions in the past that lack of facilities at NCP were in most cases the reasons for not attending Craven, you have to ask the question why now?, what has suddenly changed?, has Craven park been miraculously transformed overnight with a new North and South stands erected etc?, i mean surely it cant be something to do with the fact that Hull fc fortunes are currently looking rosier on the playing side.
Like i say Mrs B, consider the fact that a great many of those Fc fans turning up tommorow are the same ones who previously stated they would not attend CP on derby days simply because of the standard of the ground with the fact that nothing has changed on that front since, does in fact sugggets that many of of your fans are fair-weather supporters, (is it the fair-weather bit your'e having the problem with?) .

According to slstats, the highest CP derby attendance so far was September 2008, 10,189. FC were next to bottom. The point being that you assume a perfect correlation between FC's expectation of victory and attendance. That's clearly untrue and unfair. You are attempting to create a "fair-weather" story when there's none to be had. The attendance will be high tomorrow for a number of reasons. Rovers are favourites with all the bookmakers as far as I am aware, attracting extra home support. The match is not being televised, which is unusual. That will add to the gate. There is nothing between the clubs in performance, few points between us and both losing our last games. A close game may therefore be expected by some. There may be some people who are more inclined to go when they expect their team to win and less when expecting a loss. Excellent example of this being the missing 2500 Rovers supporters that were AWOL at the DW last week. I think for many FC fans they object to Hudgell's deliberately antagonistic approach to our club and it's supporters and the fact that CP is substandard in terms of facilities is one reason not to go but not the main one.
I won't be there BTW. It's a matter of principle for me.
