Whilst i would welcome a investor of this magnitude into the club.... we have to show a little caution...
Last thing i would want is for this to come back and haunt us... as has been mentioned, where is all this money coming from ? from a man supposedly skint.
Secondly what sort of control is this man/group expecting? last thing we need is another Wilby type takeover.
Having read the hdm story and read the twitter feed, i think and feel that this will not propel us to the heights that he/they want to achieve, it takes time to build a team ,sure money might buy some stability but we can still only operate within the cap and to be honest certain overseas players rob us blind with regards to wages(allegedly)... and with all the image rights clauses etc being clamped down on by the IR then i don`t see how they can make it a viable option to get the best players over and keep us within the cap.
then lets look at the proposed south stand development..... it is all well and good developing the ground.... but its getting the crowds in to watch it...
The way i see it now is that we are losing supporters in the financial squeeze that has currently gripped the country and cannot see it ending anytime soon and so what does the club do? they increase prices which in turn turns more away.... bad economics... so this is something that i believe any new investor and current board should be looking into.... in just a couple of years i have witnessed the admission rise £60 on a season ticket.... this is almost a third of what it was a couple of years ago. 2009 well pass was £179 in 2013 its now £246, and the club don`t help themselves with the inflexibility and timing of such renewals etc and other events.... they lose trade because it/they are so close to christmas ,so this imo needs looking at......
So this is something i hope the club will look into with the new influx.... however i wait with baited breath...
