Horne was a Rovers supporter as a lad
He has been a great ambassador for the sport in the city and is a top role model
He has managed to recover from a career-threatening neck injury and overcome diabetes to play at SL level again
FC will in no way be impacted by Rovers supporters attendance or non-attendance, only Horne himself.

i'd never presume what anyone was saying, next thing we know people will wrighting players names with a wink next to them and saying it meant nothing.

Completely agree. If people don't want to support Richard Horne, fine. Just saying if people want to stay away as a statement against FC as a club, it's a wholly misplaced sentiment as it makes no difference to FC - far better to boycott the SL derby

2. Regardless of who he plays for 10 years at one club makes Horne one of a dying breed of player and he deserves a decent turn out.

However given the i wont go to your crap ground etc etc spouted by some on these forums along with a few other reasons and general venom aimed at Rovers by FC fans i can see why people are making the decision to give it a miss.

I'd be very surprised if that is the case, I've been involved in 1 or 2 testimonials in the distant past and have never come across one where the players host club have not taken a percentage of the gate money after costs have been deducted. The player never takes all of the money, if Horne has done a deal to that extent he has some very clever and shrewd people working for him.
