Looking at our team and signings for next year we badly need strike in the forwards both prop and second row.
Rover's centres for years have been targeted because teams consistently score tries.

I know we have Minns, Thornley and Clarkeson on board but still does not fill me with confidence.
Injuries aside our metres made in 2015 was awful this has to improve.

Thornley IMO could be a great signing, certainly if he discovers the form that made him a regular at Wigan.

I already did in a previous post several days ago. I said last week that there was strong speculation regarding at least two forwards joining roves next season but I would wait until there was a little more meat on the bone before throwing names into the hat.
However, if you want me to be a little more precise then all I can say is Rovers are apparently looking at a forward currently playing for Penrith with initials BMM plus another forward who is an Aussie international .
As I say, it is all speculation at the moment but those are some of the rumours currently circulating in the restaurants and HP bars.

Annoyingly, I thought he had a decent game yesterday. Made good yardage and won his collisions. Shane he doesn't do that every week.

Overall, I'm quite happy with how our squad is panning out. Hopefully the backs that we've signed will kick us further on next season. Hooker is now sorted for the next few years. But our forward pack is dismal!

Donaldson, really like this kid. Be a world beater if he was 5 inch taller and 3 stone heavier. But as he is, a trier and a good tackler, but not going to win you a game.

Very harsh IMO. As a previous poster said, he takes a few men with him and gives us a quick play the ball. A valuable, and yet often underrated attribute to have.

Unless players are breaking tackles or speeding through gaps all the tie, some fans assume they are rubbish, they cannot see the bigger picture because they don't fully understand the game unlike the ex-players you mention. My take on Tilse is that he is a competent prop, not a top end prop who will get bettrr with a fee more 'robust' forwards recruited. He does make yards with players on him, he is quick to the PTB which will give Lunt and Boudebza time to create space.

Joel Ruddy is now rumoured, so should add a little more experience and strike to the backs. Hanging onto Sio, Dixon, Josh etc will be key. Thornley will be an asset. Minns not sure will start, will depend on Welham and Salter.

After watching rovers and Rugby league for more then 50 yrs i hope you dont think i do not know a good or bad player when i see one if you are saying me, but i do believe that tiles is here for one thing only to get paid while he takes a holiday But if he does stay (I HOPE NOT) I hope he proves me wrong and turns out to be a good one

Its your opinion that he's a bad player that's fair enough but it doesn't mean that he is. Do you think that ex players and people who have been involved in Rugby League don't know a good player from a bad one but you do?
