I thought Leahy did a very good job tonight, the only thing he maybe could have done, but never, was to sin bin Tickle IMO, but IMO, best performance by a Ref that iv'e seen this season so far, Well done lad hope you get lots more chances

Yes I thought he had a good game too, like to see a few of the others from the NL's have a go.

Don t think you will see him jumping in trying to seperate a punch up though..

His touch judges were a bit indecisive though



It usually takes at least a season to see them disagree with a penalty kick or conversion.....and here we get two in one evening.

I think you'll find almost all flag wavers will at some time officiate a Rovers game, And seeing a young lad doing such a good job, after all the negativity surrounding refs recently, decerves a mention, and considering that most of the adverse publicity surrounding refs came from the Rovers Forum, what better page to highlight the possitive aspects of a young ref.

Forums are sorted into teams for a reason,
affairs involving Hull FC in the Hull FC forum, and vice versa.
Too many are guilty of this.

So, pray tell, where would you discuss the merits of an up and coming ref, I think you may find that there are thousands of threads with a clearer link to other teams, but like an earlier poster said, if you don't like the thread, don't post.

F.F.S.......lighten up,Hull and Rovers forums have always been invaded by each others supporters,banter mate.

On topic, the ref did o.k,but touch judges dithering.Nothing new there then.

At times there seems to be very little interaction between ref and touch judges.

Maybe this is to do with the way the ref states how the game will be officiated at a pre-match chat.

The thing that annoys me about touch judges Dave, is the fact players can be blatantly offside, yet they do nothing about it.

That may well be down to what instructions the ref may give pre-match to how much he wants the touch judges to intervene.

Surely this shouldn't be a variable thing? It should be the same for every game, for every ref and every touch judge.
