Holes were being created two years ago as excited fan's feet plummeted through dangerously. I thought the reason it can't be moved is that once dismantled it is in such bad repair that it cannot be rebuilt.

I'm quite sad, actually. I got rather fond of it. As an alternative to not watching from the South "stand".

When as it ever been said that the golf stand will get a roof- as far as im aware theres no chance of that happening at all.

It wont happen as it would be a wast of money, the same money that could be spent on any future development of the south stand.
In fact, didn't someone on another thread say that planning application had already been put forward as part of an ovedrall development of the south side?.

in 2010 when the 14k capacity was promised, "the east will be extended at north end and south end will go round the corner and become a roof over the moved golf stand" (words to that effect)

The golf stand has not and will not be condemned, neither will it be moving to the south end of the ground. The reason for this is the number of fans that can be accommodated in the stand as present even with a reduced entrance fee far outweighs the number of fans the golf stand can accommodate so it is a pure case of economics and managing the available ground space to get the best advantage for the club.

The Golf Stand will not be condemned, as you will not pay the people to officially condemn it. Why not open all of the golf stand?
The Golf stand won't be moved to the South, as it is condemned (although not officially) so it is not worth it, and would not get a safety certificate. And would probably at that point, be officially condemned.
The South Stand in its current form, is a joke, and quite how you can state "pure case of economics" as an answer is beyond me. Noone wants to go in there = no cash or very little. IN comparison to the Golf Stand for example, I would say a hell of a lot less.
