I keep reading that once (if) this was to happen it would add an extra 200k per year in gate reciepts.I'm assuming that would mean an increase of roughly 1200 fans per year, attending EVERY game.

Where are these people now and why aren't they attending?

Could that number of fans be staying away simply because of facilties?

How does anybody know that by extending you will get the extra revenue?

if and when the extenstion does go ahead, wont fans in the other stands get 1st dibs on the extenstion and wont most fans move stands with it been THE best stand in rugby league history ever?

Perhaps ask on your own board about the East stand extension.

Standee and the other muppets stated it wasn't being built, but then again that wasn't the only topic they got wrong.

My opinion is that crowds have done well since 2007 and the east stand was sold of for the majority (maybe all?) of last years games. The seating in RM stand is quite often sold out with some empty seats being in sponsors seating area. Assume they are not being used for that game or perhaps people are in the bar. Lets face it the south stand is awful and the golf stand is adequate in the short term. Logic would therefore say that crowds will increase.

Alternatively Rovers may give away thousands of free tickets to increase our attendences. Lets not forget that it is revenue through the turnstiles rather than numbers of spectators which counts.

Indeed. You can now charge the tinkers who've been cheating the club and sneakng in for nowt. Plus people have been showing off about "1000 new passholders", which will make 7,500+ which will boost income, Revenue through the shop does also count as income, so let's hope you're maximising that too.

Plenty of free kids tickets given out every week.

Why don't crossland and hudgell just fund the extension if they're so confident that it's the answer to the clubs' financial problems? If they're sticking £450k a year in just to keep things going why don't they stick it in once and for all to fund the east stand then they won't need to do it every year

You and i both know that the Rovers knocking threads only develop because of your teams inability to match Rovers on the park. I look forward to, and fully expect, those type of threads continuing throughout 2010 and beyond. (well, until we return an operating profit anyway).
