Having watched us for 40 years and sponsored us for the last 5 I've never been this disappointed I've laid off the criticism while we had so many out but last night's team sheet was good enough to do the job I think it was an nba star who said I can accept defeat I cannot accept a lack of effort. I think we're in that situation now and I've no idea how we're gonna change it. I won't single out anyone but I wish we had someone in the team who would lock the changing room door ala Ellis and scare the poop out of those locked inside, building a team mentality in business is key to success, rugby is a business, we don't seem to have a team mentality. It seems to have got to the point where players just don't wanna work for each other without the ball. I'm too fed up to rant. There's a chap who seems to want to return to rugby league in a coaching role who would certainly wouldn't stand for the defensive nonsense that were serving up shaun wane even now stood at the changing room door awaiting our powder puff defenders, we'll I tell you I'd not wanna be a player having to explain my efforts to him last nite.
It was a good effort to get the win but we dont half make hard work of things haha, luckily Salford ran out of time as we'd run out of steam.
I thought Hall and Linnet had good games and the 2 halfbacks kicked pretty well.
Not sure why whoever plays on the wing likes to defend at centre, or why Sheens hasnt sorted that issue either.
A few good hits from Mose aswell but along with Lunt he looked well short of fitness though, hopefully they'll get better with more game time.
I know Atkin was on the bench as cover for Maguire but does that mean he cant be used elsewhere? I wanted to see him come on late on in the forwards running at there tired big men but im not a world class coach i guess.
Great to end the losing streak, some good scramble defence and decent effort all around.
