| A good job your lot turned up yesterday or the ground would have been almost empty. They obviously won't return the compliment at Craven Park.

| Quote ="little coatsy 112"It's just the defence that worries me still! Conceding 22 points against the 3rd worst team in the league is still abit dodgy but i don't want to be to critical haha! At least it's a won game that we lost in the corresponding fixture last year!'"
Wigan conceded 18 at home to London and you wouldn't call Wigan dodgy . Lets look at this as a solid result and move on to the next one.

| Good first half, we took our foot of the gas 2nd half again, but at least this time we managed to get a grip of the game for a change
Alex Brown was great, I'm not gonna fault him for Baileys try, 9 times out of
10 that kick goes into touch.
Dobson and Burns did well together again,
Big Patersons gonna be a real handful this season too
Carlile did reasonably well playing the full 80.
Is Lovegrove carrying an injury? Seems to be off the pace in the last 2 games.

| A bit of continuity in the team, a fair penalty count and a bit of luck and we are starting to see the fruits even though the team is very much a work in progress.
The players are starting to appreciate that if they are patient, they will get their fair share of the ball and then we have some genuine strike threat to hurt teams (whether they are at the top or the bottom of the table).
Burns looks to be a top class signing; always takes the right option, executes the option perfectly, a big talker, organises our right edge in defence and attack. His consistency throughout his performances demonstrates why he was a first choice NRL half-back for several years.
With more players to come back into contention we'll see more competition for places which should improve our performances as we go along.
I'm happy about the direction things are going in the short, medium and long term.

| Burns - oh yes, hopefully will kick on. Although I hope he can keep his cool. Looked like they tried to get under his skin a bit and he appeared keen on the confrontation. That might be what he's all about, but it wasn't worth while entertaining. He comes with a bit of a reputation so no doubt the refs will be aware of this. Don't give them an excuse to penalise him (ala Cockayne).
The attacking trio of Burns/Dobson/Eden looks very threatening. Add Patterson/Mika to the mix opposition defences have a lot to contend with, before worrying about Disco Dave and Brown/Caro etc. As Sky commentary said, we will score points if given the chance. If we can sort our defence out, who knows.
As for the game. I'm kinda agreeing with Stan. I didn't think we were at the races, just London were very poor. But that being said, Salford were very poor and we managed to lose that game - so let's rejoice in the fact we won. Bradford will represent a different challenge and we'll know more about our development/improvement next week.
Dobson. Another controlled performance from our star man. He general tactical kicking has been off (for me) recently. Last two games, he's been spot on. His goal kicking too, hasn't been (imo) good this/last season. It's hard to be critical of someone failing to convert from the touchline but as we've seen - he can do it, so let's hope his form from a few years ago returns. The further up the table we aim, the more important each penalty/conversion will become.
If our coach coped a lot of the stick for recent defeats, then let's give him credit for the last two performances. Tackling/discipline/tactics all much improved.
It's a start, and nothing more.
