Does it work on mac?

No, it's a windows program. so it only runs on Windows or linux using Wine emulator.

how do I buy players and staff?

i'm going into the player profiles of who i'd like and cant find the option of making a bid or offering a contract.

Click the player once and then in the bottom left hand corner you have options to loan or buy.

I've currently got the hang of it and have played 15 games and won each 1 by at least 20 points per game



I take it there is a difference in the other teams player with the easy medium and hard?

Currently on easy so this could be why I'm winning by so much

Basically I've got the best staff to make sure that the players are fit etc.

I make sure that all the players do everything bar the kicking, then have Long Scully Pryce Eastmond doing kicking and the other kicking one.

After a game I straight away get all the players to recover etc and then repeat the process. When someone gets injured you need to re-add them to the training regime.

Anyway of stopping it running extremely slow?

How do you take charge of a club...?

Anybody else having to run a Direct3D Reference Rasterizer which is causing the game to run extremely slow so you can't play it? I've already tried the driver that is on the website.

when you start the game, choose a club, and then in the bottom left hand corner is the name of the club and from this click either easy,medium or hard.

I also notice that all the kits and logos can be edited without effecting the game - well on my computer anyway.
The team graphics are the .dds files in the club folders.

Also, all the graphics such as the team backgrounds, titlebars, buttons and logos can be edited, they are located in the RLM08_External folder (but should only be edited by an experienced user)

I'm not an artist, but maybe we should start a new thread for new kits, I'm not an artist so I'll just probably just put sponsors on if i have time, but if anyone wants to create the new 2009 kits.

Is there going to be any patches to come, it would be good to update the game with Celtic and Salford as well as all the new player rosters aswell as the kits e.t.c

I've not got into the tactics yet. I'm still messing around with all the teams trying to see how all the players are etc.

What about the training then?

I've got 2 Fitness coaches - 5 star ratings, a 5 star Fitness and Conditioner and 1 5 star sports massage, but the players fitness are still low?

After every game make sure you give the players a recovery session with your club masseur (sp).

When a player gets injured or promoted to your main squad etc, they get taken off the training regime so you have to put them back on it when they recover/join up.

That's basically all I do and the players start off every game with more or less 90% fitness

Players fitness are all high now.

Got beat 24-10 off Catalans, then lost 36-0 to Wire lol.

Still very hard.

At least you now know that it isn't down to the fitness and that you can concentrate on where the team is going wrong on the pitch




Oh bugger, I've actually started fully now. I've got all my coaches in place with Saints on Hard mode, but now my wage bill is making me lose money. Wage bill is 52k and the income is 30k

Already 100k+ in debt, edging that much closer to the 2m balance withdrawl.

I've invested in a youth player that took me over the withdrawl costing 700k+ and he isn't ready yet
