I guess some people don't acknowledge the work that you have put in. It takes many many teams to put together a game such as FM or CM and your just one man.

The game is absolutley fantastic considering that it is free and I would pay money for it. It's certainly better than when other games, that you have to pay for, started out.

i would if i had the stuff to do it. maybe in the future.

yeh it's hell of a job for one man. I do a bit of programming in my free time, and just thinking about the complexity of making a management simulation on my own gives me a headache.

how long in total did it take you to make the game?

its hard to say because the time has been fragmented. bits here and bits there kind of.

if i was to do it again from scratch now i'd say about 12 months, plus the extra time for the patches.

actually created a full 3D version with meshes and animation sets a while back which i'd like to introduce at some stage, once the other stuff has been sorted. will see how it goes.

Bloody marvellous game. I can't believe it's a one-man-band affair. I've bought every RL game which has been released, including 2 manager games, and this knocks them all into a cocked hat. Truly impressive.

just to see how the 2D textures are projected when they are mapped onto 3D surfaces.

the kits are irrelevant at the stage it's at.

if anything the pitch is too bright - but im being very picky!!

This game is pretty average, no offence to the creator of the game it is a good job for one man and the 3D screenshots I have seen on BDG looking very good. I will make some suggestions on the Black Dragon Games website and I hope the guys there and the creator can make this game better.

This may sound very negative but I'm a huge Super League Fan and I think we deserve a game of the same quality of Football Manager hell even a Championship Manager. I think the game has some good potential and hopefully the creator will look at some of the suggestions because this could be a huge game. There goes my speech for the day.

Can I suggest that the Championship and Championship 1 and/or NRL are included as playable leagues.

Just looking at those 3d shots, looks great especially with the running routes ala madden.

On with downloading the 08 game now and cant wait, the work put into this must have been phenominal

I've just been thinking and came up with a few ideas.

From what I think, every time you offered a player a new contract, they always got more than what they had.

So, what could happen is that you can negotiate contracts. So, a new up and coming youngster who appears to be a real asset could go from £300 to around £800. Then the older players in the team, around 30+ could take reductions, along the lines of FM or something.

Also, the older players could retire and possibly join the coaching team etc

Have the game sign other players as well, so once you sell a player who is world class, another team in SL would come in for him, rather than see him go to Widnes or Doncaster ...

If possible, could the game go on forever, rather than just 7 seasons?

There could be a WCC each season, and once established as a coach, be able to apply for a National job.

Another thing, although it seems really petty, have it so that the fixtures are randomised each season.

if u do make a new manger game can you update it with all the player, coaches and etc... and maybe make the patches do this as well

Ryan is there any way of ajusting the kicking game, I would rather my players kicked dead rather than over the sideline?
