Are they actually just stupid?

RLWC for PS2, when PS3 and 360 had been out for a while. Now they do another game for the Wii, but no PS3 or 360.

May as well give up on a PS3 game forever

Fortunately I have a wii so I will be getting this when it comes out. Would prefer it on 360.

Will be interesting to play, like 1st person view jogging on the spot with remote and nunchuk throwing your arms around, but what about kicks and scoring tries?

I like the idea of more league teams available.

Wiimote brings some interesting possibilities... do i have to physically put the ball down now to score?? Passing should feel fun - as long as they nail the power/precision based on your movement.

Should be fun - like others would prefer 360 version, but have a Wii so will look to pick this up anyway.

This must be the first of its type. I have a Wii and don't know of any Rugby games on it so we have to remember that it may not be up to much.

Tackling should be fun - anyone have any idea what would be done?

I'm glad that the clubs go down to Championship 1 - should be fun getting Skolars to Super League after the 09 they've had.

id imagine youd use the numbchuck to direct the player with the actual remote to pass the ball with some buttons in between for sprinting kicking etc.. could be good

Think it is gonna be done by Sidhe who did the PS2 game and pretty decent it was too, so hoping it proves to be a massive hit.

Looks interesting. It's a pity that it's just for the Wii though. An obvious mistake missing out on PS3 and 360.

The Wii is BY FAR the biggest selling console. Hence a first release on Wii rather than Xbox 360 or PS3.

HOWEVER, we all have PCs... I would bet there's more PCs to release for than Wiis.

PC sales for most games lag significantly behind their console counterparts (with a few genre exceptions).

For RL and RL2, PC sales were very low as compared to PS2 and Xbox.

the wii is crap... fact. It's a 10min novelty machine aimed at kids and jap school girls.

I would consider this game, like many others, to be more of a port to the wii rather than a new exclusive game or follow up.

The makers have gone on record and said the only reason there has been no new one for xbox or PS3 is because they consider the market too small for niche game like Rugby League. So releasing a brand new version on the wii only makes no sense... hence I highly doubt it will be a new version and more of a port

No, it's a major leap forward in gaming aimed at EVERYONE.



The reason is simple... There are more Wiis sold than any other home console. In July for example:

Wii - 252,200
Xbox 360 - 202,900
PlayStation 3 - 121,800

It makes PERFECT business sense to me. Just because you don't like them, or you have a 360 or PS3 doesn't mean you shouldn't do your research.

The Wii has hardcore and exclusive games that are simply NOT POSSIBLE (currently) for PS3 or 360.

We all know the Wii is basically an accelerated Gamecube, and doesn't pack the power of the 360 or PS3... but if great games are being released at prices that aren't so hard on the pocket (I believe some new PS3 titles are approaching Neo-Geo prices these days!), then it's going to do continue to do well, whether you like it or not.

As for whether RL3 is a new version or a port, according to the website there is significant changes to RL2... this would signify a new version.

Surely a more constructive (and intelligent) thing to do, rather than shouting as loud as you can about how much you hate the Wii, is talk about how much you love your other console and want to play this game on it, start a campaign for dual/treble release, even a petition.
