Limited choice though.'"
Morrisons still have an offer but it's 4 for £5.50 (well it was just before Christmas). They seem to have extended the range too.
My good lady sometimes brings some back from Aldi if she happens to pop in.

| Just one new one to sample in the Tut last night ...
Brains Party Popper 3.7% . Very nice - rich, malty with hints of spices.
They still had Ossett's Big Red Ale on too.

| Had a lovely pint of Cotleigh Buzzard 4.8% in the Old Angel yesterday. A very nice winter warmer with chocolate and fruit flavours.

| Im only a kid so I've just got into the real ale thing, let's be honest the stereotype is older folk with a beer gut! But I found that I don't get all the bloatedness that comes with drinking lager, rarely drink lager now.
I had a really nice one last night I thought but can't remember what it was called.
I'm guessing, judging by the amount of posts on here, that Wanderer fits my stereotype of a real ale drinker.

I've never come across a more accurate portrait of real ale enthusiasts than this:

| Ventured into the Old Angel and the Gatehouse last night.
Sampled a couple of brews in the Old Angel that by coincidence were both 5.0%, Arkells Kingsdown Special Ale and the very nice Daleside Bobek Export.
In the Gatehouse it was (the somewhat disappointing) Hyde's Heads & Tails 4.6% and (the much more palatable) Three B's Pinch Noggin, also 4.6%.

| Having taken it steady for a few days, I made up for lost time yesterday. First of all, apologies to Gary, because I had a rather nice pint of Courage Directors in Rotherham, together with, in no particular order, Nick Stafford's Starters Orders, a deceptively bitter golden ale but very tasty for all, that.Nick Stafford's splendid Stallion, the wonderful Daleside Premium Gold, Milestone' s Somers' cloudless wheat beer, Old Peculier, which were both in in excellent form and rounded the day off with a similarly excellent pint or several of Acorn Barnsley Gold at the Carlton Park Hotel in Rotherham.
Inspecting my liver this morning.

| Checked out the Cheswold prior to yesterday's game (as we may be using it as the season progresses) - just missed out on the Wadworth 6X but the Black Sheep was decent.

| Didn't make it out last night so opened a few bottles. One that I hadn't sampled before but enjoyed was Batemans Hop Bine 'Organic' Bitter (4.2%) - well worth checking out.

Did you purchase that from the Aldi ? £1.39 is good value for that drink.
